  1. ASM #374 splash was likely hurt by new disclosure that "the page is adhered to foamcore, causing the page to ripple throughout."
  2. Juggernaut Tax? I bid aggressively (but didn't win) solely because of that sweet Juggy image.
  3. Sold $69k https://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsection.asp%3F_SORT%3DYES%26id%3D1398%26f1%3DListDate%26ODire1%3DDESC%26f2%3Di.Publisher%26ODire2%3DDESC%26f3%3Di.IssueNumber%2C%2Bi.Genre%26ODire3%3DASC&id=1611476
  4. As with everything else in life, read the news and interpret it as you will.
  5. Most OA dealers reported very strong sales at SDCC this year, with high traffic too. And going by recent HA/CLink/Hake's/eBay sales, OA prices still seem solid, particularly for pieces above $3/4k. Comic book prices though, have undergone severe drops for many keys.
  6. These Lim SS sales were hit with a heavy Galactus Tax! https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/ron-lim-and-randy-emberlin-silver-surfer-24-story-page-2-original-art-marvel-1989-/a/322205-46093.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515
  7. Featured CLink, Weekly & International HA and Event CC have delivered strong results over the past week, in the face of geopolitical, medical and financial calamity. April Signature HA, with its overabundance of quality material, will be a fascinating finale
  8. Strong performance by CC; almost every Marvel/DC piece I tracked sold from FMV to far above. Although, FMV is getting harder to determine in this continually escalating market
  9. These appear to have just resold at 50% and 200% markups Ron Lim Cap #382 cover: $31,000 ($20,255 hammer) Andy Kubert BvP #1 p16: $10,000 ($3,300 hammer)
  10. Yeah results didn't seem as all-around solid as Wed's Featured CLink. Liefeld X-Force $27,500 - Very strong Quesada DD: Father $8,125 - Strong Zeck SSM $22,500 - Neutral Starlin MU: TE $4,000 - Weak See how Signature HA opening next week does.
  11. ASM #252 page is open for bidding: https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/ron-frenz-and-brett-breeding-the-amazing-spider-man-252-story-page-9-1st-appearance-of-the-black-costume-original/a/7265-51214.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515
  12. Seems to have flushed out some nice early Venoms too. First Larsen Venom page offered in years: And perhaps the best Bagley Venom splash ever auctioned:
  13. Check out my interview with CAF founder Bill Cox!
  14. Here's my analysis of first appearance OA: https://comicbookinvest.com/2016/12/30/first-appearances/
  15. If this is the $29,000 page, it's now listed as sold.
  16. Yup it's the #387 cover pencils; the inked version was light-boxed by Brett Breeding.
  17. There were good buys in Ruben's sale; passed on a couple so a friend could get them. https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=217805
  18. https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/9253/ Mark Salzberg, founder of CCG, said: “When I established CCG, I had a vision that we would transform collectibles into an asset class that is trusted by collectors, dealers and investors around the world." Here we are.
  19. The astronomical price leaps in sports cards, collectible card games and comic books have actually spurred a redoubling of my efforts to acquire OA - which now seems seriously undervalued!
  20. Loved this highly informative piece on top eBay sales! https://comicart.tips/ebay-original-comic-art-winter21-top-20/
