If this turns out to be true (it was someone on Reddit who claimed to be a retailer, I just didn't recognise him, that's why I'm saying it's a rumour for now, everything does check out otherwise) I don't think you'll have any trouble getting the Adams-recoloured ones cheap.
I have most if not all of them already. I may be in the minority but I wouldn't mind consolidating to the new omnis if they're comprehensive.

So apparently the Batman by Neal Adams omnibus reprint has been cancelled because they're actually restoring the content back to its original colouring and line work.
That should spring up the interest for a lot of people.
I think it would be cool if they included both versions.

I come from a very long lived family and intend to be here for a while yet. But one day all my books will have to find new homes. I'm a custodian and my job is to look after them as well as I can. That includes not making any irreversible changes.
Coverdeath, listen to AJD, please. He's giving you good advice.

I don't understand the Ed hate. I first met Ed over 20 years ago, and think of him as a friend in the hobby. He's definitely a wacky character, but he's a nice guy.
I've got a Crazy Ed story. It was at Tampa Bay Comic Con, at one of the shows in 2011 at the DoubleTree Hotel (which has since been demolished). I co-owned and produced the convention back then. Ed was a dealer at the show, but for some reason didn't have a hotel room at the time. I don't remember why he was unable to get a room, but for whatever reason he was roomless.
Ed was in desperate need of a shower, and asked if he could use the bathroom in my room. At the time, our company was very small and we didn't have money for everyone to get their own room, so there were multiple people in this room. I seem to recall it was me, MCMiles, lookwhoitis, and two others all sharing this one king-bed hotel room. Crazy Ed comes in and takes a nice steamy shower. Ed opens the bathroom door and through the mist in the reflection of the closet mirror I'm greeted with a full-page splash, cameo appearance of Crazy Ed's original owner man-thing. True story.
That cheapskate tried getting free room and board with me numerous times as well. And this story is gross, but I'm glad that you're amused.

For the wrestling fans out there, if you remember DX's catchphrase from the attitude era, that is my response to Crazy Ed and his collection. If I ever buy one of these books after initial sale, as I refuse to buy them from him, I'll break it out just to get rid of the provenance.
Couldn't agree more. "Suck it" indeed.

Do you have it? How big is it? I saw it was like 1,600+ pages or something. Lol
Yeah, it's massive. I've got quite a few omnis in my collection and this one is the biggest. Reprints all 50 issues, plus a bunch of one-shots and mini-series. Here it is on a shelf next to some others.

Thanks so much for the head's up on that one, guys. I just ordered it as well. Plus I tossed in the Immortal Hulk omnibus for good measure. That could use a re-read.
The Immortal Hulk omni is YUUUUUUGE!

Currently where is the best place online to purchase an Omnibus or Deluxe? Am I right thinking the Absolute editions are no longer being released?
I hate to give Amazon all my money but it seems they are the cheapest.

Part of me wants to believe that and take it as a great compliment, then I see it in person 😜 and think 🤔 work in progress 😉
Sure, I meant it as a compliment. It wasn't actually sarcasm.

Everybody else's looks so situated and awesome!
Best I can do with what I have, which @Krismusic is similar to the "Luke One's" for detolf, but I had these already, which I had tried to put at the top behind my desk to give an afterglow behind the sideshow. Now that I've switched them to the detolf glass cabinet, I know it aint fancy
but idk which is better, IF not professional am I satisfied kind of thing haha
as the "after glow for sideshow didn't exactly work either edit @grendelbo edit idk added the pic without the lights transferred for comparison ... gratuitous guitar pic
My favorite part is how organized it is.

Yes sir. Unfortunately. Still, in that grade they fetch about $20-25 per copy and for what I paid...winning.
I still think it's a cool book, especially when you have a little stack of them. First prints were a big deal when I was a youngster. Not sure if that still holds true.
