This book sold for less than a third of that price. I know because I bought it a few days ago. I can only assume two things. 1. That you are correct and the seller was trying it on, on IG or wherever....I don't know because I never use that platform. OR 2. That the seller you quote did not own the book and had merely stolen the scan. If it is the seller who sold it to me, then he obviously had a massive shift of mind and decided to be sensible.

While I agree that 'classic' is somewhat diluted these days, especially in descriptions from certain money grubbing dealers who tout every book they sell as such, who is anyone to lay down the law as to what is classic and to determine what is not? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how wacky and art is nothing if not subjective. If some one tells me they have a book they consider a classic...then more power to them. if they're happy with it....great. There is no gospel on who is right in this matter.

Just arrived. Looks way better in hand inasmuch as the picture shows up every little blemish. Very pleased with this. Love the sticker also giving it some provenance.

Just ordered this today. Schomburg goodness & brilliance.

He's just an awesome artist. Totally unique style. I could look at his stuff all day. I pretty much revere him the same as Wolverton.
