  1. Nice covers Hepcat! Thanks for sharing. My top 5 GL covers in order of preference: 76 (not original of me, I know, but really works for me), 40, 32, 33 and 34. Special mention: 4, 9, 16, 24 and 37.
  2. Does anyone on this chat happen to own a GL #9 in cgc 9.2? NEED me one is all. Would be willing to pay big $$s or swap for GL #6 in cgc 9.4. Crazy, I know, but I have the bug and need to fill a hole. Please reply if you can help. Best, Mike.
  3. Nice books jmg! And kagemusha, that GL 59 rocks!
  4. Yeah I agree. I picked up the Atoman #2 for what I thought was a reasonable price as a for instance. Also just picked up the Sup 53. Think I'll be happy with both. You pick up anything cool?
  5. Ok so the movie will be coming out at long last later this year. Has anyone heard of any high grade collections coming to market? Any boardies thinking of selling?
  6. BOOM! http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch%2Easp%3Fwhere%3Dsell%26title%3Damazing%2Bfantasy%2B15%26GO%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCB&id=1163008
  7. I was talking about this... http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch%2Easp%3Fwhere%3Dsell%26title%3Damazing%2Bfantasy%2B15%26GO%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCB&id=1163008
  8. Barton buddy - is it true?! If so, good for you my friend...
  9. I agree Eric. I only got my #31 (9.6 white) thanks to your intro to MethuenMan. I am still in your debt for that one bud!!
  10. Awesome books Barton! Now that is what I call minty-mint DD goodness!
  11. This 17 went for 58% of the high for the grade on GPA and for less than a 9.4 copy sold for in 2011. As for high grade 16's, yeah they're pricey but a nice copy in 9.4 sold for around $1,200 a year ago which doesn't seem that crazy for such an awesome book...
  12. Picked this baby up at Heritage today. Not sure why it was relegated to the Saturday session but am grateful all the same.
  13. I so respect this approach to collecting! I'm on a slower track but my goal is to fill in the holes in the earlier portion of my run too (#'s 1-20). All in good time… In the meantime, good luck with the upgrades!
  14. Thx! Yeah well I plan on keeping 11-100 in 9.6 (will sell most of my 9.8's) which give me a lot of collecting/hoarding pleasure at least...
  15. Well it took me a few years but I finally completed 1-100 in 9.6 or better! It'll be short lived as I have recently sold 1-10 and will have to transfer those cert numbers soon but it still feels pretty darn good. I know both Doug and Jeff put together awesome Avengers runs but with 28 in 9.8 and none lower than 9.6, I think this is the mightiest Avenger run ever on the registry which is kinda cool. At 250,150 it's certainly the highest ever in point value, in no small part to the recent upgrade to the #1 - thanks Gemma! Anyway, I realize I'm patting my own back but feels good to have gotten it done is all...
  16. I bought my Oakland's slabbed but I don't think they were pressed first. Barton: can you comment on the Thor's I got from you?
  17. Awesome Flash #140! Thx. Sounds like you have a killer run so congrats right back at ya!
  18. Good for the consigner. Looks like these sales will raise prices on any copies 9.0 and up. Never thought this book would ever achieve 1/10th of these prices. Do you guys think this is a real sale? Confirmed sale. Luke cage is on fire ! I regret having sold my 9.6 copy many moons ago. That said, the copy in the November CLink auction just went for $3,800.
  19. Wow. Killer book. Yeah great copy Mike! Lmk when you are ready to sell me that one… ;-)
  20. Felt I should show the scan to this one as the cover is just so cool:
