yea Dave sent it to me from ON canada so there USPS. And customs put the label in that it had been inspected, why the agent thought he needed to crack open the book, cut the inner lining out and take the book out to physically inspect it while ripping the cover off then shove it back in we will never know. But on the bright side it held the grade just detached the cover

you should be... customs admitted to inspecting it and it ended up coming back a 1.5 but the cover was detached. I never had it happen before this though, this was the only time

why would i break my own book? lol on a 10k book im dying to rip the cover off ??

ok let's clear this up... -Cgcboy/ hustruck SAID HE HAD THE BOOK IN HAND-LIE -said he needed to be paid by money order or check because his paypal was messed up - LIE when told I have family there and will meet in person to exchange cash he said the case cracked and he had to return it- LIE -sent a pic stolen off the boards of a cracked case-stolen to assist in a lie He never recieved the book we know because the ebay seller said so-so again a lie he's changed his name now on the boards and blocked any board member off his IG page. this should be a done deal... the ironic part is all the people trying to help him all still say they wouldn't deal with him ? he serves no purpose here on the boards and if you debate he shouldn't be on the list that's your right to do so... your vote will then be "no" if you do then vote "yes" this has become way more technical than it has to be... he's not giving me a new book, he's not refunding me money.... he's not saying anything here stated about him isn't true. please can we just put this in the books and move on?

Lying in the middle of a business transaction is fraud. One time is one time too many. Continually lying in the middle and after a business transaction is even worse, but irrelevant, given that the initial fraud is enough to show inability to deal in a fair and honest manner. Fraud for what gain? Doesn't matter. Fraud doesn't require that the fraudster is smart enough to actually gain something. It only requires that he commit the fraud and that the fraud be committed against someone and that someone winds up without exactly what he bargained for in the deal. He may have plotted some personal gain, he may have assumed he was going to make something that no one else can see. The bottom line is, he made a deal, and in order to alter that deal he lied to alter the terms, making the fraud crystal clear. He could have been honest and maintained some type of ethical business behavior, but he didn't. He chose the dark path of deception. There are plenty of stupid criminals and low-IQ fraudsters out there. They don't have to be smart about it or good at it to get punished for it. A penny or a pound, it matters not when terpitude is on parade. For me there is the difference between the PL and the HOS. If his plan was never to rip someone off then how can that not play a part? Did 4comix get his book at the terms agreed upon? Why didn't he? Which is why he should remain on the PL until he makes restitution. it's physically impossible as the book has been sold to another buyer via eBay ??

the bottom line is not everyone has to agree... your never going to get everyone to agree if HT should or shouldn't be in the HOF... that's why there's a vote.
