  1. divad is always tongue in cheek. I honestly don't know that I've seen him get agitated, even with the ridicule he receives about his auctions, ha.
  2. Bulletproof said 90% of their Metal #5 virgins were damaged. Getting replacements. I think this is some of that "insider info." (Aka it was posted on FB)
  3. Nice recap. Wouldn't expect any less from you. 1. I don't think DMG cares about the comics except to link them to the movies. “This is about taking it to the next level,” said DMG founder/CEO Dan Mintz. “I am not looking on expanding from a publishing standpoint but from a motion picture standpoint.” Mintz said that "the plan is not to go in there and take apart what's working," and that Valiant's comic writers and artists will continue working - and expand to working more on film, television, and other platforms. https://www.newsarama.com/38368-valiant-entertainment-sold.html?utm_source=nar-newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20180130-nar 2. I'm not sure how you can state that Dinesh wasn't worried about creating profits when they had so many incentive variants. And very high ratios for what their distribution was to boot.
  4. No Re-presenting the classic Popeye comic book series that debuted in 1948 by Bud Sagendorf, the long-time assistant to creator E.C. Segar! Carefully reproduced from the original comic books and lovingly restored,
  5. Do you know that's how it went do and it was not amicable?
  6. I did the same thing and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. It will be trending up for the next three months. (you're welcome)
  7. Keeping what afloat? VEI is not Valiant. Yes, and they did push the video game platform.
  8. Not seeing any correlation between the two. The Popeye book is a variant cover to Popeye Classics which are just reprints.
  9. This is awesome. Spawn Kills Everyone @ The Office! #1 CGC 9.8 SS $850
  10. I don't believe so. Even if they did you would have a pretty good case to have it removed since they messaged you through eBay saying they wanted it cancelled.
  11. When you go to cancel it there is an option that says the buyer wanted to cancel.
  12. There is a dedicated thread for these types of items though.
  13. Had a great experience as a seller, good communication. Looking forward to further interactions!
  14. Understood. My personal opinion is that a movie wouldn't have much effect of the comic series. I'm sure it would give a temporary spike. I'm going by a few factors: 1. There was a Ghost in the Shell movie (with an A list actress) as well as the upcoming Battle Angel Alita movie. Both books are much harder to find in comparison to Akria. Those books were already sought after and only saw a small spike. 2. The window on movie / TV speculation is closing fast as more movies are announced, changed and not put into production. I think people are less and less likely to pay above the already established market value. Just my opinion.
  15. Yes, and based off of the other anime based movies out or coming out, I wouldn't put too much stock in an Akira #1.
