  1. Because then there would be a terrible abuse of the 30 day return option if a similar book was found for cheaper. Or if the buyer changes their mind and decides they need the money back for whatever reason... If I can remember correctly, ebay had 30 day money back guarantee for graded cards on every seller when graded cards were just getting really hot. Buyers were abusing the spoon out of the free return policy and sellers were up in arms. ebay finally changed the return policy (can't remember how they did it). Also, as You can see from the op's situation - it wasn't as easy as a lot think it is to force a return when a seller doesn't offer returns. ebay ruled in favor of the seller this time luckily. As a buyer - if the seller provides good pictures front and back, a well thought out description with terms of the sale, - and doesn't offer returns - is it fair to the seller? A buyer has ample enough time to make a buying decision. If I buy something after doing research and see it somewhere else down the road for cheaper - I don't try to make BS excuses and "force" a return on a seller who doesn't deserve it. Personally, - I have returned things on amazon because they do allow free 30 day returns and I can bet a lot of other people do too.
  2. Glad to see the Goog Guys won for once w/ ebay. Totally agree with OP. "I am happy to work with honest people, but when people use dishonesty to "get their way," I don't appreciate it and I am happy that Ebay has sided with me in this matter and allowed me to close the case." Happy for You! ebay is a freakin' headache sometimes!
  3. Fight the inflation! 15 Buckaroos and some change for all that. (Had a $5 off loyalty coupon) Barbecue Chicken & Bacon & Italian Sausage & Ground Beef w\ white sauce. Ready for the big game and then some.
  4. Sounds fishy to me. $1000 for that book signed is a great deal. Unsigned 9.6s - You are lucky to get one for $1000. Did You offer returns with that listing? If not, - He's kinda SOL. You can report the buyer through transaction options for making a false return claim. If You did offer returns, - Tell Him to please send it the back to You the same way it was packaged and make sure to drop it off to the shipping courier worker behind the desk to get a receipt. That way You will have an actual weight of the package when it gets scanned in case he tries to send You something other than the said book back. He can send You a rock back. Then You will have to deal with fighting with ebay customer service. I actually almost bought that book from You. I honestly don't get why sellers on ebay start their minimum bid at their minimum asking price. You could have easily gotten $1500 for that book if You listed as BIN or sent it in to MCS and listed it there... Popular books always sell for much more if You start the auction at .01 or 9.99. Now is not a good time to be putting anything up for sale in auctions either. It's a buyer's market. People are strapped for cash and the money they have - they are buying tvs or tech on sale... The best way to sell something currently is BIN with BO. Auctions are where You go to get deals. But in regards to the return. Yes sounds fishy to me. Selling on eBay is tricky because You will eventually run into these types of people. The buyer also may just want his money back and is making an excuse up to return it... Maybe they need that $1000 back... Good luck and best wishes though. I hope You get that book back and I would buy it on here for $900 shipped. Then I would try to flip it for $1500-$1800. - Just being honest...
  5. In summary: FedEx shipping is not to blame. It's the Drivers most of the time when there are problems. If You want to avoid the signature required problems - Just schedule the origianl shipment to be delivered at Your local Walgreens with your name on the package.
  6. @CGC Mikeand Customer service did not give You incorrect information. Yes. - I've been able to go to the local FedEx facility and pick up packages on 3 seperate occasions. But only after spending x amount of hours on the phone with multiple FeEx Reps. It is an exception to the rule. You have to get special permission to go into the holding facility. I personnaly had to get ok'd to go into their locked & gated facility by security guards and then I had to show proper ID all while another security guard accompanied me. It felt really weird being there...
  7. Papa Murphys take n bake is now offering $6.99 medium 2 topping pizzas. I much prefer these to the greasy cardboard pizzas from Lil Caesers if you're on a budget. Plus you can customize the pizza and then add whatever other toppings you have in the house.
  8. Had the same attempted delivery issues as everyone else. Sucks to be waiting all day and they never show up on multiple occasions. Pro tip: Have the delivery sent to your local walgreens. Easy peasy.

  10. I totally agree with You. The slab is very snug on the ends of the medium flat rate box. I use a 1092 inside a medium flat rate - and add a small piece of padding material on each end of the slab.
  11. You can still fit the 2021 sized 1092 boxes into a medium flat rate box. It will be a snug fit, but it's still possible. Like someone else said earlier, 1092s will still fit into 1095s, - but it's a tighter fit. I will have to see how the 1097s fit into the equation. - Just read an article that USPS is planning on increasing prices again starting this holiday season. And shipment time is going to be extended for certain shipping methods. Yippee
  12. The format for printing sales data. I use to print them out so I didn't have to constantly login to keep looking at the same books. Before the last overhaul, I was able to easily print out sales data for easy reference. Very organized and clean looking. Now, I don't even try because the formatting is all messed up/unreadable, and it prints way too many pages. We also used to be able to have multiple year tabs open under a specific grade to easily compare year to year prices of that grade. I used this to print the differences in prices over the years for specific grades. Now we can only have one year under a grade open... Another recommendation would be a horizontal bar or drop down box with letters that expand to your saved titles, instead of having to scroll down forever to find a certain saved title. The UI needs to be seriously reconsidered. I use GPA everyday and I actually liked it a lot better before the updates. The thing I like the most about GPA is the customer service. You can send them a message and they will literally get back to you in a matter of minutes to hours.
  13. eBay sent a memo about a month ago letting sellers know if the buyer making the offer clicked on a sponsored ad. This was true and I saw in bold writing: "This person has clicked on a sponsored ad". I liked this because I would be informed if I was going to have to pay extra fees or not before I accepted the offer. Now, after another one of their pointless updates, the notification has disappeared and I have to check my transactions after agreeing to the best offer to see if I got charged the ad rate fee or not. Anyone else notice the same thing?
  14. I was misquoted by "Mosh it Up" Shipping Costs weren't the only reason why I haven't subbed yet. The main reason is because of TAT's. To Mosh it Up: If You are going to Quote Someone, - Don't alter what Someone writes. (See Pic) Why is it allowed to Quote Someone and then alter it? The farther a Package has to Travel, - the more destination scans it requires. Which increases the chance of the Package being dropped or mishandled before it arrives.
