  1. Thank you very much guys. I really do appreciate.
  2. So, had someone take some stuff from my house, including a copy of ASM 129 I had, pretty much the jewel of my collection. I purchased the book on eBay in November, so it was tracked by GPA. I have an account, but current don't have much use for a subscription again, except to get the number on the book. Was really hoping that someone with an account would be nice enough to get me the CGC number on the book for the police report. The issue is the 5.5 that sold in November 2016 for $415 with a B1 next to it. I will be getting a subscription again, just can't really buy comics right now, so don't have to much need for it currently. I was hoping that you could look at your collection when logged in without a subscription, but you can't (that is the only comic in my collection ) The eBay purchase history picture is too small to make the serial out on and the other pics have been deleted. I appreciate any help that anyone could give. Also welcome all th criticism for not cataloging my collection better
  3. I liked having the option of the all button. Was nice to view all of a thread at once if I was late and there were already multiple pages.
  4. Bought a set of Ultimate SpiderMan from Tyler and everything worked out great. Shipping was fast and secure and he was able to work with me on time payments. Appreciate the help and hope to have another transaction with him in the future.
  5. Purchased a few ASMs from Jon back in August and he was kind enough to wait to ship until I had a better grasp on the mail situation. Everything went smooth and was as pictured. Would gladly purchase from him again.
  6. @ jsilver: Know I'm still new here, so my opinion might not fit the norm for the board, but in this situation I would consider a partial refund generous. Refund of the whole purchase or no refund seems like the 'fair' choices. If the restoration was noticed on receipt and he asked for a refund of the book, or a partial refund, then I would side to him. Waiting until all the books come back seems like a low risk high reward way to buy books. Buying raw is cheaper since it does carry more risk, but also has a chance for better deals. One of the risks is that a book will have restoration that is unnoticeable. If you really want to offer a partial refund, $20 seems reasonable to me. @highradart : I personally wouldn't expect any kind of refund to come from you. It is sad that the book is restored, but, like you said, it has changed hands since and been graded. A partial from you doesn't seem fair at all, unless you are trying to get a partial from the person you bought it from as well ;p
  7. Got a nice book from Wayne at a nice price. Shipping was fast and secure and everything went as well as it can. Look forward to him getting rid of some more books and hope I catch the thread. Thanks.
  8. 1. Luckily I don't have a WTB thread, so don't commit this one really. Have responded to all PM's in response to my Sig. 2. Really bad at this. A lot of it is that on my phone it is such a pain to type that I don't finish and forget. Really sorry for doing this and plan to get better. 5. Thought this was common practice here, hard to tell to a NEWB 8. ~jsilverjanet Are you telling me to get my scissors ready for the books I bought from you on eBay?
  9. Nice book. I just picked one up last week to read, wasn't as nice though. Pretty good story, now just need to find a 102 to finish it up
  10. As a newer member I still have a hard time remembering to double check the lists, other communities I am a part if are pretty good about banning people that are 'problems', or labeling them with tags stating they are suspended from making transactions while on 'PL' lists. I don't know how well it would be to have one person being "responsible" for it, would be nice to have the first person that notices post the statement, just to make sure it is known as soon as possible after the thread starts. Another idea might be to have the party nominating them, or the person adding them to the list posting it in the offenders Kudos thread. It would likely be the last post in the thread, so will likely be seen when checked, even if by newer members. It could be removed if warranted, emergencies shouldn't be permanently marked, but would be nice to have all that history in one place.
  11. Really great transaction from Designer Toast's ECCC Aftermath thread. Both books arrived in the same condition they were described as and were shipped very quickly. Also would like to mention that he was willing to hold before shipping, allowing me to complete my move, and shipped as soon as I gave him an address. His books actually arrived as I was inspecting for move in, so very timely shipping. Thanks and look forward to your next Convention sale or other sales thread.
  12. Who would buy anything in a sale like this. Not me, that's for sure. Whatever isn't selling in my threads gets discounted, or put back in the boxes. Did someone on here run a thread like this or what? Is this in reference to that Mystery Box thread? That is getting run more like a type of event that was discussed awhile ago. He has some decent books it looks like, with the one 'jackpot' book. Not my type of deal, almost like a lottery, but I understand why people would buy them. My response was more in regards to if the items were listed. With mystery boxes Im not planning on getting anything specific, so I won't let other good deals pass me by.
  13. I don't know of it is within the rules and the goals of the sales thread, but it seems like a way to upset a few potential customers. Would hate to think that I'll be getting a book then an indeterminate amount of time later the seller backs out, or doesn't sell everything and so doesn't sell anything. If you were undercutting everybody and everywhere else and the deals were to good to pass up you would sell everything. So maybe if that is the intention you will make it work.
  14. No, but someone who has been a member of the community for awhile, is trusted by mist people here and that doesn't mind receiving a comic book, telling the buyer it is as described and then after seller receives payment shipping to the buyer. A couple of the Magic the gathering communities have people that have volunteered to do this. If they accept to act as a third party, they ask for compensation, usually a few books or some cards worth a few bucks for time spent. Some of them are also used to help verify authenticity of cards that tend to be counterfeited. The whole transaction is still completed by USPS or whatever, just involves an extra week and shipping the same twice.
