I know there's a mail in service for media guests, but is there something similar for comics? I'm looking to get some raw sigs from Risso and King.

Here's my report. First time posting one so be gentle. My wife and I drove the 2.5 hours from Abilene to Dallas and arrived around 9:45. There were maybe 100 people waiting to get in. Doors opened right at 10 and I beelined to Scott Hanna. I was able to get a few books signed and got my name on his commission list for my custom Bane omnibus. My 8 year old son couldn't make it due to a school function so he sketched a free thumbnail sketch in his book. I cannot stress to you how kind and engaging he was. He was very talkative and made sure I got the signatures I wanted (no charge for signatures). I came back later in the day and watched him sketch my commission from start to finish. He chatted with my wife and I the entire time, about the industry and our families. He VASTLY undercharged me for what I got ($60 headshots, $100 half figures, $140 full figures). He had some original art and prints for sale as well. Highly recommend meeting him if you get the chance. my commission all the rest Next up was Graham Nolan. I've gotten multiple sketches and commissions from him over the years and we chat every so often on FB. He recognized my wife and I and we chatted about Texas and cusom beers (Deep Ellum IPA, if you're interested). He's first signature free and $5 each thereafter. I got my Vengeance of Bane 1st print signed and he sketched a quick thumbnail head! I brought my copy of The Joker: Devil's Advocate to be signed and he told me hardcovers get a free quick sketch. He had a pretty big commission list and was selling prints and copies of Monster Island (which I picked up). Stuff from Graham Nolan After that, I hit up Bob Budiansky and Carl Potts. Bob seemed generally surprised that I was in his line and not Carl's. He signed some Sleepwalker issues for my upcoming custom bind. Unfortunately one was smudged when I stacked issues too quickly. Carl Potts was very nice and talkative. I picked up a hardcover Alien Legion and had him sign a couple books. Interesting note, the guy in front of me plopped down multiple copies of the same book. Carl refused to sign any but one. Next up was Michael Golden. He was friendly and outgoing. $5 per signature and offered to give a COA with each book. I had him sign some Marvel Fanfares and a Detective Comics he and Scott Hanna worked on (the organizers did a fantastic job of bringing in various creative teams, leading to dual/multiple signature ops). After that, I did some shopping. Lots of great books there, but prices were all over the place (I saw a MoS 18 for $8, and one for $75). I picked up a few run fillers and a decent copy of Micronauts #1 for $6. The rest were half off. All in all a great show. It wasn't overcrowded like Dallas Comic Con, yet there were plenty of creator guests and vendors. I really got a chance to have some quality talks with some industry greats. My only complaint was it was FREEZING due to large doors being open for a while. Thanks for reading!

I'll post pics later, but this was a top notch show. Hats off to the organizers for making it all about comics. I heard multiple creators (gladly) talking about how busy they were sketching and signing.

I am a novice grader, and maybe sell 1-2 books a month. I don't list a grade--I take lots of pictures and start all my auctions at $0.99. I do my best to describe flaws and submit more pictures if a potential buyer requests them. I try to always include high res scans of the front and back covers as well. I buy raw books from time to time, and I buy from sellers that have already been mentioned: lots of positive feedback, good descriptions, plenty of pictures.

Ordered mine today. This looks to be a fantastic show.

Graham Nolan and Scott Hanna at the same show? I'm in. Anyone know Hanna's price for signatures/sketches?

Check this for info on your Batman 457 second print newstand. Unless I'm mistaken, that's only the 9th known copy to surface.

I went into a sports and gaming shop on my way home from work. I saw a few short boxes and started digging. The guy saunters over to me and says, "Anything not priced, we'll look up on the internet when you check out." Lots of Knightfall/Death of Superman for $8-$10 each. I confirmed that orange stickers were his pricing and checked out. $4 minimum for debit so I got a pack of 1994 Batman cards.

I picked this up off of eBay. I stumbled upon this thread not too long ago. What's the best way to find out what foreign editions of a book exist (in my case, Vengeance of Bane)?

Is Flash 3 considered Trying not to ruin it for those that haven't read it.

It's not an official publication, but I have sketches from Graham Nolan and Chuck Dixon in my custom Bane hardcover.

Does the outer packaging have any dates? The bottom flap of the box says copyright 1993.

I picked up this Knightfall collector's set on eBay containing the first part of the arc. Batman 492 III Batman 493 II Batman 497 II Detective 659 III Detective 660 III The rest were first prints.

Kid free this week. I saw a sign in a local used vinyl shop that said they also sell books and collectibles. I asked about comics and was shown some longboxes with $1 each written on the front. I bought 30 books, these are the standouts. I love Jim Balent's rendition of Bane. His take is right up there with Nolan and Aparo's in my opinion.

How were these available?

I think he shipped 5 minutes after I paid. Amazing service and 5 star packaging, even for $1 books.

I went to a garage sale today, but first I went to my LCS. The owner (a super nice guy) let me go into an area in the back that is usually chained off (I told him I was looking for some 90s Bat books for some custom binds). He showed me to two long boxes and told me $1 per book. I found a few books I needed especially the pre-Knightfall Banes. I stopped at a garage sale on the way home that had a couple of long boxes and action figures on a table. $1 per book. I grabbed a few for my kids and this guy.

Received my books today. Exactly as described, excellent seller.

My family and I went out of town to finish school shopping. I hit a couple of flea markets and found zilch. I took my daughter to Hastings and while she shopped I flipped through the back issues. To my surprise, I found Snyder and Capullo's Batman #2-7, Det. #647-648, Batman #475, and a couple others. The best part was they all rang up $0.99. Nothing life changing, but some decent finds after a disappointing trip to multiple flea markets.

Bought a bunch of books for great prices. This guy knows how to ship comics. Thanks again!
