  1. I don't really care if the seller says "could benefit from a press". My problem is when they price their comic as if I will actually going to get the book pressed. It is as if they're leaving money on the table by selling books at the grade it sits.
  2. I feel the exact same way when I see ads for Marvel Spotlight # 6. I'm like "2nd appearance of Ghost Rider?" and these day's it's almost always for vol. 2, the 1979 issue with Star Lord. Wacky times... I think majority of us were confused but at least we kept it to ourselves and not rag on the OP. (thumbs u
  3. No kidding. People here need to chill. Not sure if some folks are just boosting post counts It's a good old boy club around here, or at least that's how it seems at times. Had the right person mentioned ST169 heating up no one would have questioned it. But a sub 1000 poster? No cred in the eyes of many. "Noob". How do we join the club? Do we have to boost post our count?

  5. Sent me a reasonable offer. I accepted. Quick payment. Both happy Thanks!
  6. Not likely. Funny story, one of the shops in my area started putting post-its notes on "higher" grade books with "cgc it" written on it. Huge turn off.
  7. It really is this simple. Leave it to a bunch of comic nerds to circle jerk to death all the various nuances of each and every post and excuse and reason. You guys kill me. Common sense + eyeball/sniff test = HOS. Best post in the last 4 hrs. It's not like we are going to incarcerate Hasan.
  8. it's a shame his original sales thread was locked then poofed. I'm certain that he didn't mention a presale (though sometimes sellers won't) but i do remember him specifically not listing the label (which was a concern). Did anyone ask if he had it in hand? I don't remember if it was asked And to me that is a great question. Was it assumed to be in hand? What would a "common man" assume when he sees for sale ad on the internet? Likely not a presale, right?
  9. Well, I don't think hustruck is running a company here. He should have all the time in the world to sign in full. It appears he's trying to pull a fast one here.
  10. Thats a crazy asking price. Kinda misleading too as his headline says "First Printing" - makes it appear that it is not a reprint - is there a 2nd printing? Kinda like saying Spectacular Spider Man 90 is fist appearance of alien costume but omitting "in title".
  11. You're wrong. I don't let my 10 and 11 yr olds see movies not appropriate for their age. There's a reason why movies like that have age restrictions. Although I know some parents that let their kids as young as 9 yr olds watch shows such as family guy and those are the kids who swears casually in the play ground and tends to be aggressive.
  12. Based on what evidence? Asking for facts which could potentially get in the way of a good story? Party pooper
  13. Maybe because you rub people the wrong way here. I'm sure you're a decent enough guy but your track record in the comic book community (evidence of eBay shilling, had to be called out in the PL thread to make amends, etc) suggests otherwise. 100% of my dealings have gone successfully does anyone ever bring that up? no because it does not help their argument. when i was "accused" of shilling and my sound system sold to a 0 feedback bidder did anyone bring that up? no, because it did not help their argument. I'm not gonna play that game with you. All I will say to you is you need to start taking some ownership of your actions. Just ask yourself why every time you post here you'll likely to get flamed out?

  15. Awesome avengers run buddy.... I am working on mine.
  16. Giving you guys a heads up - eBay ID: qlrick or R. Weissmann Bought a comic with an undisclosed restoration - a major no no in my books. He's appears to be a reputable seller but won't give me any explanation as to why the resto was not disclosed. Waste of time and money (return shipping at my cost). This is a reminder why I need to stop buying books on eBay. Here's a sample of his resto work. There's a sloppy tear seal as well.
  17. A Stan Lee masterpiece reimagined by the internet.
