  1. I was really curious how this one would end. I was not expecting $144K
  2. The 1993 Frank Miller Sin City Marv piece selling for $20K was also a steal. Another great buy.
  3. $1600 it's an amazing price. Congratulations to the buyer.
  4. The Simon Bisley painting going for $1600 was highway robbery.
  5. Well..so much for prices staying low for the items I'm interested in. . There are some bargains still
  6. Although small in quantity, I went through the offering again, and there are some fantastic quality items in the auction. I doubt they stay off the radar. I can afford the Miller Sin City piece right now, but I suspect not by the end of the auction.
  7. These? I don't know this market. How much were you expecting?
  8. Also, the Heritage Signature Auction starts next week on August 23; the sun and/or holidays seem not to apply to the level of material they are offering.
  9. Yep. Good time to buy. This one has the feeling of falling through the cracks.
  10. I honestly do not recall a C-link featured auction offering such very little material as this one. Don't get me wrong; There is some good stuff there. But ...is that it??? Is Heritage really taking everything?
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that BPs can be negotiated with six-figure and high five-figure items. I'm not sure if this one would have qualified unless multiple items were consigned with it.
  12. I personally enjoy Jim Lee over Jim Lee. It has a raw energy feel to it. Although amazing as well, but Scott Williams has a "commercial" feel to it.
  13. Bisley Deathstroke #1 Cover. I was the first custodian of this piece, and Selling shy of $10K caught my attention. Bisley's vintage '90s stuff tends to go high, but this trend has migrated to his newer material.
  14. I don't know much about the Preacher market. But is this an aberration? Do collectors no longer care as much about this material? Did someone get a bargain, or were the prices overinflated? Or maybe a Lil bit of both. I just remember when Preacher pages featuring Saint of Killers were pretty pricey. Then: Now:
  15. This will be a remarkable entry in the "(attempted) Flip of the Day!" forum in the not-so-long future. .
  16. Let's not go down the political road. Unneeded and Unnecessary.
  17. There could be some Sandman fatigue with all the stunning material that has become available to the public in recent years. Sandman #10, Page 12 (Corinthian First Appearance), selling for $24,000, and Sandman #17, Page 17 (Calliope storyline feature in Netflix), selling for $26,400, are solid acquisitions at that price point. I had them between $30K-$40K. Congrats to the buyer.
  18. I remember when Burkey had it for 12K or 15K about a decade ago.
  19. I've been doing it the opposite way. I buy collectibles when I'm black-out drunk. To be fair...I've made some pretty good choices.
  20. Awesome piece. Congrats on the sale. Who said bad things only happen when you get black-out drunk?
