  1. Just got these beauties back after a year!
  2. Some of the thicker mil clear boards bow/warp had a few comics warped by them.
  3. Economy received at cgc 10/27/21 GEI 10/24/22
  4. I’m not sure but it’s in pretty nice shape and that would explain why the holes are so close to the spine.
  5. Didn’t know this was a double cover when I bought it.
  6. I bought this one a few years ago for a decent price.
  7. Looks like a good trade. I don’t think it would be too much trouble replacing the books you are giving up if you chose to do so.
  8. Thanks for the compliment. Just the pressure from the matte board against the glass and the frame backer holds them in place. With multiple strips you might need some kind of tape to stop them from moving while putting the backing on the frame. You could also have a professional matte and frame them but it’s a lot more expensive.
  9. Hi, I have some Flash Gordon strips I custom cut some matte board and framed them. Here’s a pic, maybe it helps for some ideas.
  10. Thanks for getting back to me. I figured as much, I would rather not risk damage it’s a favorite book in my collection. Thanks again
  11. Hi, I have this book that has significant edge wear on the bottom cover with slight overhang from being bent under the pages. I wasn’t sure if this would be rejected for encapsulation because of this. I added some pics below to show the edgewear. thanks
  12. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone replying and providing so much knowledge. I always thought the book was miscut but it’s good to get other opinions. If I do end up sending it in I’ll be sure to post the slab here.
  13. Very true, this is also an option to consider. It’s been in Mylar and fullback for several years and still looks to be keeping page quality which is nice.
  14. I have another book with a similar cut an old Air Fighters comic and the edge is also clean. Very good points thanks for your insight.
  15. Thanks for taking the time to look. Here’s some pics of the inside of the book.
  16. Thanks for taking a look, I’m going to err on the side of caution for now. I do know it’s not the normal width for that book by looking at other examples. I’ll look into it more before making a decision.
  17. Thanks it’s a really awesome image for sure, I think it’s Alex Toth. I saw that label when I was submitting the other day I almost used it for my planet comics 51. Just spent a bit much to do labels if you know what I mean, shipping costs!
  18. Just recently started submitting books from my personal collection. This is a nice looking copy I would like to send but I think it’s miscut on the right edge or trimmed, hoping it’s just miscut. The edge looks clean there’s a small color flake under the issue number. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
