  1. Classic Pareto frontier. ASM 300 has a lower return but less risk. Clone Wars 1 has a higher return but higher risk. There is no best in this case, it’s a about personal risk/reward.
  2. I've never been disappointed with Lone Star Comics. Everything I've sent to CGC from them has come back higher.
  3. One of the early additions to my collection.
  4. ASM 25 is the first cameo appearance of Mary Jane Watson. I've had a copy of this in my collection for a while (4.0) and I wasn't planning to upgrade, but I had another raw copy that I submitted with a few other books. I was pleasantly surprised to have it come back 7.0. I didn't think it would grade that high when I submitted it, but I'm happy to have a new version in my collection!

    Just not Fun anymore.

Thank you for posting what you are going through. Lot's of people here have similar experiences. My advice: Focus on your son. He doesn't care how many cards you have, what the grades are, or how much money you make. He just wants to spend time with you. It's easy to get caught up in all the trappings that make us adults. Kids don't care about any of that. Your son thinks you are Superman. Straight out of Action Comics 1. You are the greatest, most perfect, amazing, fun, and awesome person ever made! Nobody can take that away from you. Enjoy it for every moment you have it. There will be lots of time for your collection. I promise you at some point he will be super excited about what you have and you will spend hours talking about how you got it, graded it, how excited you were to get it, and every detail you can remember. Be patient, it will come. Enjoy your time with your boy. Everything else will fall into place.
  6. My collection of Women of Marvel - First Appearances began with Ms. Marvel 1. I didn't start out intending to collect this set. I ran across Ms. Marvel while searching eBay and bought a set of 23 issues from the 1977 edition on an impulse. I bought a few more sets and individual copies and before long I amassed about 500 raw copies of the 1977 Ms. Marvel series. As I started to get into graded comics I sent in my best copies of issue 1 for grading and was amazed that one of them came back at 9.8! I sent 22 issues from that series (of 23) to have them signed. Seventeen of these retained their 9.8 grade, four came back 9.6, and one 9.4. Fortunately my issue 1 retained it's 9.8 grade. The rest I hunted down to get a complete set of 23 in 9.8. I also managed to get Marvel Super-Heroes 10 & 11 in 9.8 as well to complete my Ms. Marvel set. This book started my collection of Marvel Women First Appearances. I found the set on CGC and slowly started to collect the issues listed.
