  1. the only silver age DC books more scarce although these are not keys are issues 2, 3 and 4 of "it's game time"very hard to find in anything above 4.0... first issue is more common though
  2. it is the scarcest ! and there is not even a close second place ...
  3. maybe they mean which CGC graded comic has the fewest scars ....... and/or scuffs on the case ????
  4. there is a thread in the Silver age where someone is asking which is the scarest (scarcest) SA key ? it is actually Sugar and Spike #1, 1956 with only 31 blue label copies in the census, but they are completely ignoring that answer ,
  5. anyone who thinks that a thousand dollar DC first issue is not a key really needs to get out to a comic con or two and ask some of the big dealers about it
  6. Scarest DC key in the silver age? 2 Started by plady69, 21 hours ago
  7. the Title of this thread is SCAREST ?? (scarcest) key , not most valuable here is the latest CGC census numbers for blue label 1 sugar and spike 31 copies, with the highest graded 8.0 2. Jimmy Olsen #1 136 copies, with the highest graded 8.5 3. Showcase #6 178 copies with 9 copies grading 8.0 and above, 3 in 9.0 4. Our Army at War #83 180 copies with a 9.0 as the highest graded it's not even close which is the "scarcest" key
  8. i now consider 1956 the start of the SA , any month in 1956 is SA to me , Jan-Dec definitely am not going to pick an particular month that year to start the end of the GA and beginning of the SA , SA starts at the beginning of the year-1956, for me at least.....
  9. would help you but i am seriously afraid to click on that huge of a link
  10. LOL try telling a dealer that ..... you would be very surprised at the answer
  11. i meant there is a CGC 3.0 Sugar and Spike #1 on eBay right now for $1300 which is a fair price for an already graded scarce key.. only 34 in the census last i checked, might be a few more now ....
  12. it's the rarest DC key , but it has not increased in value hardly at all compared to super-hero books which is understandable,,, so even though it is scarce it's much better to buy a Showcase #6 long term! there is actually CGC graded 3.0 on eBay right now for $1300 which is not a terribly high price all things considered
  13. thanks but when i posted about it being a GA book 4 or 5 years ago i was scolded my others who told me at that time it was a SA book
  14. my buddies always used to bum cigarettes from each other and sometimes they would say "can i get a sigmund from you Freud?"
