This Week In Your Plastic Crack, Action Figures and Toy Collection
Darjis_ replied to Buzzetta's topic in Comics General
Yeppers! I remember seeing the advertisements for the Batman movie toys when I was a child that looked like the repainted Super Powers Batman and was super excited - then, when the actual movie toys came out I remember going, "Oh, it must have been a prototype or something, dang." I only discovered teh Estrela version in the past year and all my gf's family lives in Brazil so they managed to track one down for me! :-D Pretty damn good condition too! Ps. I have Clark Kent as well. None of series 3 though -

I got this super rare Black Super Powers Batman for xmas! I had no idea it even existed until recently. High five to my gf! -
Yeah, definitely not a voice over. Recorded in Vancouver at one of the studios here. Or so I am told.
-
Me as well! I'm not the biggest fan of police procedural shows but Tom plays the absolute perfect Lucifer in my opinion and keeps me glued to the series Looking forward to season 2!
-
Got my 2 copies of Lucifer 1 back from a friend who got Tom Ellis to sign them! Hooray! ;D
-
Woot, I'm getting a couple copies of Lucifer #1 signed by Tom Ellis....stoked to get those slabbed and on the wall for when my super religious mom visits.

this is awesome for Sarah...I have worked on stuff she has been in basically since she started acting professionally - she's fantastic and totally deserves this role. It's super cool to watch her career grow -
What parts of the country do they live/drive in? How many years with the company? What kind of hours per work week are they putting in? And I believe an employee of Fed ex is also chimed in this thread dats true. 14hrs a day, 5 days a week will pull u in that kinda dough, but trust me, u can forget about any sort of a social life (which is why I'm a comic nerd)(No time for chicks) What good is money without time? I tell myself that on a daily basis, but trust me, it aint easy to walk away from albeit its tempting at times. The divorce rate is also pretty high as you'd imagine. Both my spouse and I work in film ... up that to 6, sometimes 7 days a week and that's our average work week. The same can be said about that career. However, the people whom I've met that successfully managed to keep their relationships alive tend to be ones who date / marry within that field because they get it. Your average 'normal' working person just doesn't understand why you have to work those hours. Porno? haha...no, we definitely wouldn't have to work those hours if we worked in porn.

i feel like 'easy on the eyes' is something wiebe isn't really looking for when scouting talent. -

Calm down. Upchurch isn't returning. None of the those stupid media outlets bothered to even check with Wiebe to see if what Tess was saying was in fact true. Kurtis posted this on his twitter feed as a reponse: -
This show is on the bubble for me. I thought about dropping it after tonight's episode, though I'm interested enough in what happens to Eugene to come back. Eugene and Cassidy are the only two characters that are at all interesting to me. Since there's only ten (?) episodes this season, I may just see it through to the end, but, unless it gets meaningfully better from here, I'd say it's probable that I'll drop out after that. I agree w you. It's starting to annoy me. For 50 something issues, the 3 of them were 'partners', if you will, and then their friendship starts to deteriorate after you've really gotten to know them. The TV series is having their relationship deteriorate almost immediately while knowing little to nothing about them. Except that Jessie is stubborn and stupid, Cassidy is into drugs and Tulip about not doing enough crime.... My guess is they wanted to cram as much into season 1 as possible in case they didn't get a season 2 and I'm hopeful it'll get back on track when they actually start searching for God....but is that actually going to be a plot device now since every character they run into along the way seems to reside in Anneville? The producers have gone on record many times and said this is a set up for issue 1 of the comic. Season two will basically start at issue 1. They felt there were holes there that wouldn't be understood, so they added this. Something big is coming, there is no doubt, and I have totally put my faith in these guys to get it right. I love it regardless. Jay Well, that's totally fair but they have also gone on record with Ennis saying they have re-written a bunch of it much like Walking Dead did to it's main story. If what you are saying is true and Season 2 follows the comic more closely - that'll be awesome. It would make sense budgetary wise as they would conceivably get a boost for Season 2 and be able to actually go nuts or more nuts as it were.

Alas, I won't have any new 'fun facts' for you in Season 2 as my mrs' team has departed LOT. Both of us are disappointed - her, because she will no longer get to watch Branbran stretch before his action scenes...me because it's a super fun comic show. -

i *believe* this is to replace Captain Cold and Heatwave who've moved back to Prison Break -
Oh good, someone else opened their mouth first. Yeah, I've heard it is moving here as well
-
I'm interested in seeing if the writing gets better in season 2...
-
I guarantee if it's renewed it'll start airing around either the same time Flash / Arrow airs or when Legends of Tomorrow season 2 airs - really depends if they order 20 something episodes for season 2 or if they do a half-season like LOT.
