  1. John Romita Sr, what talent and an extremely special career. From his taking over the Amazing Spider-Man title to his art Director duties, defining the Marvel promotional material and mentoring new artist’s incredible man. My earliest memories are Amazing Spider-Man 118 and Marvel Team up11. When he stopped most of his interiors on Amazing Spider-Man he continued to define the character with covers and the newspaper strip. The man is a true legend one word though I can use to describe him is is AMAZING. My condolences to the entire Romita family, he is back now with Stan and Jack.
  2. Conrad was an interesting gentleman for sure purchased my all time favorite Sal Buscema Incredible Hulk splash from him in Philadelphia. Made my day way back then one of my most memorable art days ever.
  3. You have just got to love the pegboard maybe I should try that next! Incredible Hullk 170 cover so the 169 has to be out there somewhere?
  4. Never underestimate the power of the U-Foes a very early appearance.
  5. No Doubt the Pollard run was short but it was very impactful and reset Amazing Spider-Man at least to myself where he belong a must read book. The title lost something in the mid to late 150s that Pollard reset just my opinion
  6. Gil Kane yes at 4 for many reasons and the ones Mike posted. Number 5 not taking anything away from Ross Andru or the page that sold. He will not crack my top 5 EVER. Pollard was so much better not to mention Romita Jr, Byrne small sample size and Ron Frenz, and Bagley. Andru 9 or 10 just my opinion. Pollard and his body of work often overlooked.
  7. For many collectors they consider the secret wars era the sweet spot of the comic events they well remember the Black costume era included.
  8. Great Analogy Sal would never be considered a .235 period. My pick Steve Garvey never took a game off until he broke things still the NL record holder games played consecutively
  9. Now you did it… Sal Buscema is a talent period the dynamic action and story telling he puts in his panel pages will never and I mean never be over looked the man was a master of all out action. Pure dynamic dare I say incredible.
  10. Looking to purchase the 1986 black costume Spider-Man store display 3D molded plastic against red bricks.
  11. My second Treasury Edition. The Christmas one with the Heroes coming at you front and back covers also great stories. This one phenomenal front and back covers.
  12. Glen, this may very well be the first Black Costume Spider-Man Bagley attempted.
  13. Glen, Regarding Mark Bagley I thought his first published Spider-Man art was Amazing Spider-Man Annual 22? A year earlier July of 1988. Great update
  14. Well apparently some collectors are interested in the offerings that CC has in today’s auctions, Thanks Micah
  15. https://www.comicconnect.com/item/887973?tzf=1 nice All Byrne Fantastic Four 260 page featuring the best villain Byrne created Terrax/Tyros.
  16. Well this page from What If 4 was cheap early Mark Bagley. Great recap of key Black suit Spider-Man events. I still look at this one all the time.
  17. Hulk 1 pages oh yes I could sign up for this. As far as FF 1and 2 pages I was looking through old CAF messages and one member clearly stated that the last page from FF 1 and 2 was sold to a collector, around 2000. Best Dom
  18. Still looking for these pages offering 3,000. Also would offer 5,000 for nice pages with the Hulk in action from 197 and 198.
  19. Wishing Sal Buscema a very Happy 84th Birthday.
