Getting the word out to the masses.

D'oh! Right you are.

Well, you lose thousands of dollars in reholdering fees. And I don't think assuming is necessary. If the notes don't mention which version of the ad is present, then that copy was certified prior to CGC beginning to note it, and therefore it's printing status is undetermined.
-
I can't imagine anyone having their Supes #1 reholdered. Why pay thousands of dollars to risk finding out (and announcing to the world in the notes) that you don't have a 1st printing? Unless you owned the book raw and know that it is.

Yes, that's from Sideshow: https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/marvel-the-silver-surfer-maquette-sideshow-collectibles-400358?var=400358

I imagine he's qualified for something.

3K-4K edition sizes don't happen very often anymore. Too many options for collectors these days, but they only have so much $$. I doubt Sideshow wants a quick sell-out of anything. I think they would consider that a misstep on the edition size, and that they left money on the table. Even when you see them discount a piece 10-20%, they're still making money on it. I'm betting 1K or so for the Dazzler edition size.

I don't think the edition size will be all that small. Response to the piece has been overwhelmingly positive.
