  1. Finally paid the last of the time payments from this Joe Staton lot. Pgs. 9, 10, & 11 from Issue #39 of Scooby Doo the "Two Heads are" Story Guy Gardner by Joe Staton/inked by Paul
  2. Just checking with those that have artist submit directly, as it seems I have been missing a step for five years and as the last two books were held up for extensive time I want to ensure I do it perfect for once. I have always just had artist submit a book on my behalf with an artist agreement form and CGC eventually sends me a friendly reminder email that it needs a submission form to go along to make the process smoother and I have to fill it out on the spot through a link they provide. (Most of the time I have first time artist or friends submitting so they do not have an artist account or a CGC account.) Just verifying, if I were to fill out a regular CGC Grading Submission form under my account and have the artist submit that with the artist agreement form it will come back signature series yellow correct? Not a blue or green label? I have a non-CGC convention coming up end of March and I'd rather not have to wait an extra few months again this time. My last sketch was misplaced for about 4 months because it didn't have a form and I had to fill out a missing/lost book request...
  3. Manheim Comic Con 2024: Started setting these up in August and September at small shows or through Instagram to be ready for November 2024. Luckily JJL Collectibles was available to pick up on my behalf as my car decided to have trouble exactly half way on the trip down. #1) Scooby and Sonic sharing chili dogs by Dawn Best #2) Spawn scaring Scooby by Kevin Conrad (I finally have a book for Todd McFarlane to sign please bring him back CGC!) #3) Spunky as a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Float by Darren Auck

  9. This book took the "scenic route" through CGC arrived in September around the time of the first hurricane and made it to my account December 30. Worth the wait though. Bought it directly from the artist on eBay and he was willing to fill out the artist agreement form. I have wanted a Scooby Apocalypse version of Scooby for years now but I wanted one more on the cartoony style and when I saw the book for sale I knew I couldn't get any better of mixing those two worlds together. The back cover even has cartoony zombie versions of other Hanna Barbera cartoons from the 50's and 60's as an added bonus. Signed and sketch by Douglas Gray on 8/15/24 on Front and Back Cover.
  10. I have a few sketch covers witnessed by the others guys I'd like to convert it's the whole loss of the witness date that is making me hesitant. Cool piece!
  11. If you go by longevity in the field and the ability to go from cartoon to action and creating characters such as Kilowog and so forth. Joe Staton However, every artist has their own unique style that draws us to the medium so there is no true answer to the question.
  12. Been searching for this since 1997 that makes it 28 years this year. The only other one on the census is a 9.8, now just one more mini-promotional book and the 35 cent marvel variant cover for the full master set of Scooby books published in America.
  13. Been watching this one for about a year or more. Power Girl sketch by Joe Staton and colored by Laura Martin.
  14. Perfect storm between end of December and beginning of January. Never had it before when my watchlist had just about every seller sending an offer with massive discount, or long time wish list came available. 18. Great haul! That Fantastic Four is one of two books I always look for at conventions. Lucky day for you! I have hope they still exist in the wild now!
  19. Tomb of Dracula #13: Signed by Marv Wolfman
  20. Sorry about that, I forgot that people have LCS with perhaps larger slab selections. My LCS is 99.999% raw with three shelves in the back about 80 inches long that has slabs along with raws mixed in. Their other slab section which is about half a box is just oddball pieces that come about when buying raw collections. I only look in there for books to turn yellow in upcoming conventions. I did however come across my two ALF signature series books that way which I added to the collection. My local comic shop is awesome. If you have your pull list shipped after say a month if you can't make it in, the one clerk draws on the backboard a character based on your interest as an added bonus. Definitely worth the price of a priority mail box.
  21. Usually when this happens to me, I message the seller saying, "My book arrived safely thank you for packaging so CAREFULLY! I was about to leave you feedback but I can't seem to add it to my CGC registry. Could you please transfer ownership so that I can add it to my registry? Then I can finish leaving feedback." Never had a problem in the past doing it this way, especially when feedback is held for collateral.
  22. The Comic Reader #107 Joe Staton 11/11/17
  23. I'm trying my first shot at JSA just concerned as some of my artist names didn't pop up while typing their names in. We will see.....
  24. It will be notated on the slab. With their newer system for submitting you may want to manually enter the comic to your order and add the part about Mark Jewelers. Usually though, they will pick it up. These are my Mark Jeweler books.
