Family stuff is running late (or starting late, depending on how you see it), but I know you're all waiting so I'm still planning on a session this evening.  In the meantime, where did we leave off?  Oh yeah, the wall-crawler.

That's great info, thanks!  I was just saying on another thread - "The boards, where conscientiously phrased helpful advice is taken as a personal affront."

I had a feeling that you would welcome it. And you asked for the help in the thread. But some people - and this is common at the brick and mortar level too - get offended when you tell them that there isn't a strong market for something and you can only pay nickels - or decline the books outright. They just don't understand and refuse to believe that a 60 year old comic in VF that the OSPG says is worth $48.00 is really worth....$10.00.

These MIS are tough to price so if you think something's way off, let me know!

Ever since I've sold here I've had some difficulties with Mystery In Space, COTU and the other Sci-Fi or Fantasy books from DC in the SA up to when the Horror stuff took over. Lizard always has bought 1 or 2 but I've almost always ended up taking them to eBay. And on eBay I've had good luck selling them in pairs as long as you have appropriate expectactions. On eBay you have over 100,000 eyeballs that are looking for that fun and weird DC Stuff stuff there but not many here. (Now someone is going to come out and correct me).

But if you do keep them here, if they are not 9.4 or better, you need to heavily discount them. I'm talking 50% of OSPG or more.

Not trying to be the bearer of bad tidings. Just trying to share the experiences I've had here.

I'll say this about the date stamps on these books. :x

Be back tomorrow to look at what's left.

Right? One of them in this thread is May 13th - one day after my Birthday May 12. I totally collect those along with other special dates.

Ok, gang, that'll do it for tonight.  It's late here and I gotta review any action on here and offers and get stuff ready for the kiddo tomorrow.

Thanks for looking (thanks more for offers and buying), and have a great night!

Tomorrow we'll hopefully do FF, I'll update the thread title with details

FF's would be grand. I look forward to it. My holes are numberous but maybe I'll be to score a number I've been missing.

A weekend at Wrightsons sounds good

Or both? Along with Ploog? Actually, a weekend anywhere, preferably, sounds great right now. Maybe I'll wing it on over to London and jam with the Stones! Maybe I'll settle for Vegas and a visit to every comic store there.

Give it a bit of time and the overpriced sellers will be forced to adjust downwards. My guess is they bought during the 2021 and into 2022 peak and do not want to book that large of a loss. Eventually they will have do it, and if they are good they will take the hit, recycle the money into new stock, and make enough to cover that loss.

This is exactly it. 5 Gold Stars. But right now it kinda sucks not being able to order from my favorite sites. Their prices are very much 2021. They are all stubborn and - I get this part - who has the time to reprice their website? With MCS it's just as bad or worse. However, the MCS auctions have been good so there's a plus.
