No one is defending the actions of the seller, he is totally out of line and I recommended the buyer contact the authorities.
If I buy a RAW book from a seller who says in HIS OPINION it is a 9.8, that is just that, his OPINION. The buyer either a) doesn't know what he's doing and subbed a book that had no shot at 9.8 or b) thought the book had a shot at 9.8 and subbed it.
I've bought books on eBay that came back graded at or under the raw grade the seller listed it at. I wouldn't even think to leave a negative or neutral feedback for the seller in that situation...YMMV
3 minutes ago, Logan510 said:There are sellers who know how to grade and I would normally trust their listed grades. There are dealers I have bought from without even seeing the book because I trust their grading.
No one is perfect though, maybe the buyer should've pre screened his sub so he wouldn't be disappointed
I agree with Logan, also is it really worth the time for this? I don't understand "he threatened me" part? Looks like a fouled mouthed tirade, if that is a justified action to call the police I think
their lines are going to get jammed...lol, just saying.
*** I agree with the other member that said " I would just drop it. Its true that an eBay sellers grades are not some kind of guarantee, that would be impossible". Seems like you are spending a lot of time
on something you should just block and move on? Of course you have a right to leave negative feedback but after reading this why would you post a negative if they didn't guarantee a CGC 9.8?
I guess I agree with Logan510 " Agreed, the seller is out of line, but the buyer kind of is too. Unless the seller makes some kind of guarantee that the book he's selling will grade out, I don't understand why the buyer would feel he has the right to leave a neg"

I don't care about the comment getting removed ..either way its my opinion and right to put it as a neutral negative.. but i do care about getting 5 calls in a row at 3 am and getting 6 emails threatening me...i don't know what his intentions are.. he could be crazy ..either way i need info to report him to the police and he should be removed from ebay.. no one should be threaten over a review.. period. Its freaking my family out and no one should be dealing with this.

I think the #227 looks kinda cool, however for the most part I am with you guys on this subject. I would think I nice full size signature on the back cover would be
prominent and cool unless of of course the comic has a wrap around cover of artwork. I feel Neal Adams is certainly an extremely "old school" style artist with nice lines
in his art however these examples of "signature" a bit much.
*** Having said the #227 looks kinda cool, I still would rather have a copy without it ...just saying

If I missed something please let me know and I will fix it, thanks, Haley.
Purchased this gem recently on eBay, changing my collecting direction to other interests
( 6.5 ) - (1) $2,271 (1) $2,271 - $2,271 Dec-2017 JUNIOR #12 CGC 7.0 ( LABEL WITH COMIC ) $2395. Willing to discuss reasonable offers or trades especially Timelys
GPA has a 2017 sale for a 6.5 at $2271. This 7.0 is now $2395.
*** Small amount of erosion near saxophone on spine which is why this probably graded a 7.0 instead of a higher grade?

Detective Comics 66 cgc 4.5 OW pages. A copy that presents very well for the grade, deep reds on the cover, the Detective Comics banner is white with with not a hint of darkening. An incomplete raw copy missing the first two wraps with a detached cover just sold on Ebay with a BIN at $3500 on 5-31. Most recent GPA for a 4.5 was April for $10500, this copy is the same $10500.
If anyone would like more pictures, PM me.
I'LL TAKE IT! : - )

I just don't understand this type of protest or thread crapping especially on what is supposed a "hobby friendly" forum ?
Member A purchased a book from member B which makes member A happy & with more $$$ right? Then member B decides to sell the same exact book on the same exact
forum & thinks so highly of member A's original post in which he purchased the book he re-prints,copies, what ever the advertisement to sell it...where is the big foul?
Obviously the sale or post couldn't be more transparent so again is it necessary to publicly call the seller out? I would be flattered if I were the original seller, can't we all
just get along?
