  1. I thought I'd update my group shot before some go back to the bank. The MM3, from Rick, is the only restored book. The 30 is pretty sharp with white paper. 26 and 36 are a couple of my favorites. I hope you like?

  2. It's been a long time coming for this one. Currently this is the highest census, but that won't last as it will soon be tasting sweet mylar. headbang.gif

Now, that is cool! Never had one. Add that to the list!

Awesome cover... and love the caption: "The boy with the most comic books in America...he reads 'em, breathes 'em and sleeps 'em!" Seems like a fun thing to do in Hell! devil.gif

  3.

Dino used to own the Tec 31 I currently own? 893scratchchin-thumb.gifi didn't know that...he bought my Action 13 from Harley promptly though....his 4 year search is over thumbsup2.gif

Never owned it, Ben. I posted in on the boards as a favor to give Harley exposure/visibility for the book...which it certainly did! thumbsup2.gif

Saw it at NY Con...wonderful book and outstanding pick-up for you. 893applaud-thumb.gif Had I not just purchased the Beerbohm/Filter/Ciorac Tec '31 I might have gone for it! But, when you made the trade with Harley, I jumped on the Action #13... cloud9.gif

    ENJOY! cool.gif

  4. Okay, I'll finally admit it....I was the undisclosed buyer of the Action #13 from Harley who, of course, acquired the book in Primetime's trade for his Tec #31. This copy has the "printing error" in the title logo, but it's not as distracting as one might think (actually looks like clouds in a blue sky to me! 893scratchchin-thumb.gif). The book's sharp colors, tight spine and great overall presentation more than make up for it IMO! cloud9.gif

My five-year search has ended...I'm just thrilled to have the 3rd highest graded copy yay.gif (at least, until Bangzoom slabs his...) gossip.gif

    hello all...

one of my top ten books are "in da house"....my son doesn't quite grasp the whole "spectre" motif, so I will have to keep him to Batman! (I guess my red eye program didn't work so well)

    Rick--

Any danger in spoiling him early confused-smiley-013.gif ...after Tec #27 and Batman #1, it's mostly downhill from there!!! 27_laughing.gif

    GE;

    Now that's a real sharp looking book for a 6.5 F+ and a great pickup. cloud9.gif

I have been looking for one of these for years now at a reasonable price without any luck. I remember Fishler had the D copy at one time, but was asking for a really outrageous price considering the condition.

What are the major flaws on this copy since it definitely looks nicer than a 6.5 from the front cover image? Did you have to pay a significant premium to condition guide for this copy?

Congtars again on your pickup. thumbsup2.gif

Thanks, Lou_Fine. I've always wanted a copy and looked closely at Metro's D copy (6.5 also) but this copy looked cleaner and brighter....the yellow background really pops in person. I acquired the book in a trade involving my All Select #4 and some cash. Paid well over guide but it's a keeper. cloud9.gif

Census shows only an 8.0 and the two 6.5s... hard to pass up. tongue.gif
