I thought I'd update my group shot before some go back to the bank. The MM3, from Rick, is the only restored book. The 30 is pretty sharp with white paper. 26 and 36 are a couple of my favorites. I hope you like?
MARVEL-ous, Mike!...Simply MARVEL-ous!

Okay, I'll stop now. Sorry if I took up too much space. Thanks for indulging me.
...sorry, I'm looking for a little gremlin called "DROOL LIKE CRAZY"
Killer book, Mr. Bedrock!

It's been a long time coming for this one. Currently this is the highest census, but that won't last as it will soon be tasting sweet mylar.
Now, that is cool! Never had one. Add that to the list!
Awesome cover... and love the caption: "The boy with the most comic books in America...he reads 'em, breathes 'em and sleeps 'em!" Seems like a fun thing to do in Hell!
C-L-A-S-S-I-C!

Fresh from CGC, another wonderful, classic Timely cover: Captain America #18
I love the bright colors...the blade appears to jump out at you!

Dino used to own the Tec 31 I currently own? i didn't know that...he bought my Action 13 from Harley promptly though....his 4 year search is over
Never owned it, Ben. I posted in on the boards as a favor to give Harley exposure/visibility for the book...which it certainly did!
Saw it at NY Con...wonderful book and outstanding pick-up for you. Had I not just purchased the Beerbohm/Filter/Ciorac Tec '31 I might have gone for it! But, when you made the trade with Harley, I jumped on the Action #13...
ENJOY!

Actually, I meant this photo!
"...SUCH STUFF AS DREAMS ARE MADE ON" Shakespeare's The Tempest
Amazing story and outstanding books, Bangzoom! Thanks for sharing...

Okay, I'll finally admit it....I was the undisclosed buyer of the Action #13 from Harley who, of course, acquired the book in Primetime's trade for his Tec #31. This copy has the "printing error" in the title logo, but it's not as distracting as one might think (actually looks like clouds in a blue sky to me! ). The book's sharp colors, tight spine and great overall presentation more than make up for it IMO!
My five-year search has ended...I'm just thrilled to have the 3rd highest graded copy (at least, until Bangzoom slabs his...)

Gorgeous All-Americans, Bangzoom! Your books look as they just arrived on the newstands in 1939...
Thanks for sharing.... keep 'em coming!

At long last!!! After much pomp and circumstance...not to mention...wholesale liquidation fo pre-Robin Tecs...the long wait has PAID OFF!!
Fantastic Tec 27, Bill! Congrats on your grail! Your patience, keen eye and good fortune have rewarded you very, very well... ENJOY!

hello all...
one of my top ten books are "in da house"....my son doesn't quite grasp the whole "spectre" motif, so I will have to keep him to Batman! (I guess my red eye program didn't work so well)

Rick--
Any danger in spoiling him early ...after Tec #27 and Batman #1, it's mostly downhill from there!!!

Speaking of shapely things...
Here's my Torchy #4...Canadian edition published two months after U.S. edition...Highest Graded Copy!
BTW, top census for U.S. edition only 7.5.

Focused on GA Superhero books, I've never owned a New Comics issue until now... #10
What sold me? I think it's pretty cool seeing "1936" on the cover...

Incredible collection of books, Billy_Parker!
or should I say "Billy _All-Mighty"
...any more Schomburg Timelys and you're gonna have trade that pool table in for a bowling alley!!!

Totally in agreement.

GE;
Now that's a real sharp looking book for a 6.5 F+ and a great pickup.
I have been looking for one of these for years now at a reasonable price without any luck. I remember Fishler had the D copy at one time, but was asking for a really outrageous price considering the condition.
What are the major flaws on this copy since it definitely looks nicer than a 6.5 from the front cover image? Did you have to pay a significant premium to condition guide for this copy?
Congtars again on your pickup.
Thanks, Lou_Fine. I've always wanted a copy and looked closely at Metro's D copy (6.5 also) but this copy looked cleaner and brighter....the yellow background really pops in person. I acquired the book in a trade involving my All Select #4 and some cash. Paid well over guide but it's a keeper.
Census shows only an 8.0 and the two 6.5s... hard to pass up.

Bought this Jumbo Comics #10 at the NY Con....One of my favorite covers, classic Lou Fine and scarce with only 3 in CGC census.

A recent acquisition. Alas I'll probably list it on ebay in the near future - but it's great flipping through it - lots of Baker inside, as well as a scarce St. Johns romance book - Adventures into Romance #1 with great Leonard Starr art.
Awesome book...if you want to sell

Not the best photo, but here are a handful of my best GA's...
Awesome GA group shot, Ben! I knew you had the Action 13 and Bats 1 but the supporting cast is just as impressive!

Awesome, coolJ!!! Tough book in almost any grade! Your #16 would go well with the All American #17 CGC 6.0 I just listed on eBay:

I agree, but I'm having a problem entering my bid of 3000.00
I just changed the listing to a STARTING BID of $99!!! No more excuses...GO FOR IT!

Surfer,
Great book!
Is this from ebay seller "popscomicsbooks"? You know, the secret-warehouse-filled-with-GA-keys-in-Las-Vegas seller... If so, this may legitimize this seller whose auctions have always been clouded by skepticism.

And for you as well...
It's a great book. I'd like to get the rest of them, but they are impossible to find
Thanks...great cover!!!
