  1. Hey folks. It's been a while since I've sold on the boards. I'm selling my WD #1 graded 9.6. Asking $2050 w/ shipping. Please PM me as I don't get updates for thread posts. You can see pics here: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/g4zvm34h7487hzo/AAB3Mm2xUjk0HPOZ9hGjmM2ba My kudos are here: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=365575&Number=8296285#Post8296285
  2. Bruce doesn't need my kudos, but he's getting 'em regardless. Great guy to buy from or sell to. A+
  3. A wonderful buyer to deal with...and he picked complimented my packing skills!
  4. All around excellent buyer. Happy to deal with. Please come back anytime!
  5. I'm not talking about the violence; I definitely don't want kids watching Daredevil. I just wish there was more of a desire to write better scripts. It's clear that the CW doesn't give a minimal mess about plausibility (like in the Flash, how there is a goddamned particle accelerator in the middle of downtown Portland...I mean "Star City"), much less three-dimensional characters, continuity, historical context. I just don't think it's a false dichotomy: Surely you can have a show as well-written as Walking Dead or Daredevil without all the horrendous violence.
  6. The single-cam/single-take fight scene at the end of episode two thoroughly blew my mind. No fancy acrobatics. Amazing. Also, the general sense of menace that they convey with little details like people moving in and out of the background at night in the street scenes is amazing. So - Why is it that they can make something as spectacular as this show, but all the CW/DC hydra does is mess our more mess shows with plots and characters? So far, I'd say Marvel got it right.
  7. There are a couple of nice looking copies of Magnus 5 on Amazon in the $20 range.
  8. Speaking of keys, what is the deal with the pre-Unity Rai Bloodshot #25 variant? I see that in the $40 range on eBay. Never mind. It was a variant from last year's series. Question answered.
  9. Very quick payment and a good communicator. An asset to the boards.
  10. Slightly O/T: Apparently the show runner for DD swears that the red costume will for sure be showing up in the show. After seeing the trailer (which looks excellent), I was worried that the costume would look like "Trial of The Incredible Hulk" Daredevil black pajamas clown. Here's the link.
  11. Grateful for this post. I am trying to get into Valiant for the first time and this thread answers a lot of questions. Cheers.
  12. I can't believe how much this comic has climbed. Makes me wish I'd bought two.
  13. Yeah. I have been beat on a copy three times now. One day...
  14. I just found this thread and I'm glad I did. Just completed my entire run of Copra. BTDubs: If anyone has a copy of Deathzone, I am all ears (and wallet).
  15. I'm glad this thread is going. I am not a huge 90's Valiant fan, but I would like to go back and read some. After picking up the new X-O and The Valiant, I am curious. Where should I start? I saw a complete set of the Unity g/n's on eBay and was thinking of picking those up. Cheers.
  16. Speaking of which, Bendis's work on Daredevil is worth reviewing too. The arc where Matt Murdoch get's outed and then sued by the villains that he put away made me laugh out loud.
  17. Regardless of whether Alias/Pulse takes off in price, it absolutely must be read. Loved that series.
  18. Oh god, I think I literally shredded a copy of this book once. Oy vey.
  19. ETA-wise, how long do these things take once green-lit? Two years? Three?
  20. True, but I think that there will be a noticeable hike over the next week corresponding with a hike in interest.
  21. I just saw this too. I don't know how many of you have been on eBay in the last 48hrs, but the Buy It Now price on a raw Phantom Variant has gone from $49 to around $125. All I can say is that I'm glad I bought two. I've given up on getting an NYCC #1 variant for under $100 at this point though. When this sort of thing happens, I don't know if I should buy more copies or just sell the slabbed ones I've got.
