  1. Looks great, but I don't have a clue. You've stumped me again. Any hints? Hi Luck, I'm afraid any further hints might lead to easy discover? Anyways, I spent about half my day yesterday researching what I could about her - so I can hardly contain myself from the big "reveal." Note I posted all her story pages and what I could find about Purple Tigress here: http://goodgirlcomics.com/purple-tigress-the-complete-works/ The Purple Tigress!! That's an awesome splash page. Too bad there were only two stories. I appreciate the scans and all your research. Looking forward to what else you come up with! +100 BONUS POINTS
  2. Looks great, but I don't have a clue. You've stumped me again. Any hints?
  3. I didn't win the CGC 9.4 copy of Fighting Yank #22 at Heritage, but I do have a nice reading copy. Here's some Miss Masque action...
  4. One of the best "femme fatale" splash pages I have ever seen! This appears to be the exact same story that appears in CRIMES BY WOMEN #10 with the title "The Witch From Wichita".
  5. ISS GOOT, indeed!! Thanks for posting this gem!!
  6. Thanks for sharing! Frog's daughter! Kicking butt one panel, and then adjusting her stockings the next. That's my kinda gal.
  7. Is the Wildcat/Huntress story as awesome as the splash page suggests?
  8. I'll give this a shot (admittedly not fair because she is so obscure and not the lead in any comic (even inside stories) - I just happened to read the one shot comic book today (where she does appear on the cover). Hint: the book was reprint of a newspaper strip. Hint: A female Russian (back in they day they were war allies) Lieutenant Aviator (not unlike Spitfire Sanders): I don't have a clue, but these panels are great and I would love to see more of her! I'm gonna take a wild guess... someone from Terry and the Pirates?
  9. Merry is the adopted sister of the Original STAR SPANGLED KID. She first appeared in STAR SPANGLED COMICS #81...I don't have that one, but I do have issue #82 where I believe it's the first time you see her in costume. Bonus Points to anyone who can introduce me to a Golden Age heroine/crime-fighter that I've never heard of.
  10. Along with Tara, Wonder Comics also offered Jill Trent, Science Sleuth and her sidekick Daisy... Men are such gullible boobs...
  11. Beautiful, Scrooge!! Thanks for sharing! My favorite Rio cover has got to be Fight #47, but my favorite Rio story is from Fight #39 where she uses a mattress coil as a garrote to take out a Nazi guard and escape from her prison cell.
  12. Great info, thanks! Has this thread overlooked Senorita Rio? Here is one of my favs - classic "gun pointing" cover You are correct - this thread has overlooked Señorita Rio big time! She had some classic covers, gorgeous splash pages, and glamorous action-packed stories. Lily Renée did a fantastic job with the artwork, and she was also as beautiful as the Señorita.
