Southern Bastards continues to be great. I had to reread from the start before diving into issue #18, which reaffirmed my high regard for the story. At times I was worried that the series wasn't going to return, although I'm not bothered by delays from comics that are as good as this.

Looks like issue 7 starts the next arc. The story has been great, and I'm eagerly awaiting to see what's next. Wish it was a weekly title haha, because as soon as I finish one issue I immediately desire for more. -

Highly enjoyed this first issue. Will be sought after if people explain to their friends of the quality on the pages. -

I'll take it. -
I think these two Dell'Ottos will be winners. Keeping those low ultimate editions are attractive to me, as 250 available is nothing compared to all the art fans in the comic world. Their Mattina Daredevil cover for venomverse is also jaw dropping, and it was priced to sell.

Cates is a eccentric Vampire fan, and I have confidence that he will write the subject well. In interviews he excitedly discusses the countless possibilities of the stories he could write, as well as making note of how Redneck will not be your typical vampire tale. -
I received tracking. I know U.K. orders are shipping a little later.

This first issue was awesome. I've dropped almost my whole pull list, but this is getting added.

Pre-Heat Speculation Thread - Get it before it gets HOT

While we're in a Image discussion, a few people added Regression from Cullen Bunn to their pull at the shop. It's been the top asked about book the last couple weeks for upcoming #1s. The premise sounds cool, and I'm thinking it wasn't ordered heavy. -
Moderns that are heating up on ebay!

I think they are both awesome. I think whichever has a lower print will be the true winner, but the ashcan is the first appearance. -

Anyone check out the Donny Cates interview with The Comic Book Exchange? It's a 40 minute episode on YouTube, and I found it entertaining, as well as getting me even more excited for what is to come next. -
I'll take it.

If anyone has one at $35 or even $40, then I will gladly purchase. I enjoyed this first issue, and I'm bloody thirsty for more. -

I'm excited for the upcoming variants next week, but my best friend just secured both books for $4 each from our lcs. It's off putting to see Midtown charge so much, when some people will get their copies for cover. I'd understand an inflated price for this well written and extremely well ordered title, but $200+ is just gouging the supporters and leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe I should just get some scope, and let Midtown do what they'd like, but it's hard to watch them slap outrageous prices on some books. I'm happy someone felt these variants are worth that price, but I feel bad for the buyers who aren't able to purchase at a more realistic cost. On a final note, this book sold out at one of my favorite lcs (max 2 person) in the first hour, and they ordered 70 copies. Everyone and their mother had their sites set on Redneck, and one dude was trying to buy copies from each customer by offering $6 a piece. He managed to find a few people willing, but most held their copies tight. I've never seen this happen before, and the store allowed him to do it as long as he didn't make things uncomfortable to customers. -

Didn't get a chance to order online (and now I can't find it), but I'm hoping my lcs has some to make the shelf. After reading this preview, I'm excited for what happens next. This is a video preview I found. -

That Heathen x/100 variant had sales yesterday from $200 and up, and one sold for over $500. The cover a is selling pretty good too. I said down and read the first two issues to see what the hubbub was about, and the book is written well. Dropped a lot off of my pull lately, but I added this one. Is this an ongoing?
