  1. Nope, never read a comic before....sigh!!!. Only have over 150 short boxes of comics and Watchmen and Infinity Gauntlet are easily 2 of my all time favorite stories. Were not talking about what happens in the next film. Wre talking about this film and even knowing some of these characters are coming back doesn't make the scenes any less impactful, at least not for me. And if you have read any of the interviews with The Russo's or Fiege, you would know that there are going to be some surprise deaths or people not coming back at all, so nothing is for sure right now besides a few main characters. Its not just going to be Loki & Hiemdall.
  2. They all looked FAR more vulnerable than we have ever seen them before. I was right about one thing tho and that is that Marvel purposely misdirected people with the trailer. I said that awhile back as they made it look like Vision was going to die by getting the mind stone ripped out and Thanos says "I hope they remember you" when looking down at Stark. I usually don't watch trailers, but the trailer aired during the super bowl so I just said screw it. I suspected from the very beginning that the trailer was misdirection.
  3. Agreed! Same with Stark watching Spider-Man die. He was just a kid and when he starts saying "I don't want to die,, I don't want to go", the look on Starks face was just brutal. Some pretty impactful scenes in the film in regards to deaths.
  4. Gamora was easily the saddest death for me. Most shocking was Loki, not because I thought he would survive the movie, but because it happened in the first 10 minutes.
  5. Here is a MIGHTY impressive feat: http://deadline.com/2018/05/avengers-infinity-war-first-week-global-international-box-office-results-1202380241/ Yep, looks like you were spot on! http://www.ign.com/articles/2018/05/01/avengers-infinity-war-director-confirms-this-character-survived That makes me really happy as I absolutely loved the character.
  6. Wow, I guess New York's AMC 25 had an 11 Marvel movie marathon that lasted 31 hours before Infinity War aired as the finale. Now those are some die hard fans. Not sure I could sit in a theatre for 31 hours just to get to Infinity War. https://www.theverge.com/2018/5/1/17294156/marvel-avengers-infinity-war-movie-marathon-amc
  7. I asked this in the other thread in spoiler mode and haven't had a response. Just wondering if anyone knows what happened to Valkyrie? Wasn't she on the ship that Thanos attacked at the very beginning? They never showed what happened to her.
  8. Not for me. Given the challenges they faced with making this film, I think they did an absolutely brilliant job. It never once felt jumbled or out of sorts. You have to remember going into this that its really a film about Thanos more than it is any of the individual Avengers.
  9. I have to agree on Black Panther. I really enjoyed it and thought it was very good film, but it appears to be one of the most popular films in the MCU to date and that just isn't the case for me. It would probably rank around 7 or 8th if I were to make a favorite MCU film list. I loved Ragnarok as it was very different from everything we have seen thus far.I thought Cate Blanchet did a great job as Hela and I LOVED Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. And that scene near the end when Thor starts attacking the soldiers on the bridge to the Led Zeppelin song was one of the best scenes I have seen to date in the MCU. Again, as always to each thier own.
  10. Looks like its broken another record, and by a pretty big margin. The previous record was Universal’s Furious 7 ($14M on April 6, 2015). Infinity War almost doubled that amount. ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Posts April Monday Record With $25M+ http://deadline.com/2018/05/avengers-infinity-war-monday-box-office-second-best-marvel-1202380127/
  11. Here is an interesting article: Avengers: Infinity War – Hollywood has admitted defeat in its war with box-set TV https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/may/01/avengers-infinity-war-hollywood-tv-box-sets
  12. As if that changes anything at all. Your still watching the movies. As for your feelings on the movies, your posts certainly don't come off the way yur describing here at all, at least not to me. Either way, my advice would be to not get so defensive and take things so personally. Again, I wasn't attacking your opinion at all. I was simply making a very common sense suggestion if you really didn't like what Marvel was doing with the MCU. Never underestimate James Cameron. Not only is he a master at the medium of directing and storytelling, but he is also pretty much a genius when it comes to technology. The guy has invented and patented quite a few things in his time. Cameron's inventions/patents https://patents.justia.com/inventor/james-cameron I for one am most excited for his Terminator sequel, which will ignore all of the previous films post Terminator 2. My biggest problem with Ultron was they took the humor aspect of the film too far. One of the most impressive aspects of the VAST majority of Marvel films has been thier ability to mix and balance the action scenes, the more serious exposition scenes, humor, and legitimately moving character interactions. Black Widow & Cap in Winter Soldier is a perfect example. Had the interactions between Widow and Cap not ben in Winter Solider, it would not have been nearly as good of a film. IMO, this is really where Marvel puts DC to shame. Unfortunately with Utron, that balance was nowhere near what we have seen with most of the other films. I still enjoyed the film, but it would definitely be way down the ladder if I were to rank all of Marvels films.
  13. Its simply common sense. I have stated MULTIPLE times in this forum that people have a right to thier own opinions and that I respect those opinions even if I happen to disagree with them, and yes that even includes yours. That being said, if you don't like what Marvel is doing with the films, don't go and see them and stick with the comics you enjoy. Again, just common sense in my book. I know I don't go see movies that I don't like. Maybe your different. All the power to you! And I understand fully what subjective opinions are and would NEVER ridicule or make fun of someone's subjective opinion on an online forum. IMO, that's one of the biggest problems with the modern day internet. So clearly your reading a LOT more into my post than was intended. As for what you were thinking....well, what was I thinking making a logical post to someone that isn't enjoying the MCU? People like you get so defensive that you think any post that is made that addresses your opinion is an attack on your opinion and you couldn't possibly be more wrong in this regard.
