Had trouble finding this topic because of the title change after more than a decade But thankfully I did. This will be the 14th consecutive year I will be participating and the goal this year will be 1500 comics read in 2024. Why 1500? Well I haven't reached that figure since 2016...so let's go for it. Very hard to pick a favorite, but here are the ones I enjoyed the most : Blast TPB 1-4. For mature audiences only (and then some...). It's a very hard-hitting but deeply sad story. Probably the issues that stayed with me the longest this year. from Wikipedia ; Miracleman The Silver Age. I loved the original Miracleman series (and all the spin-offs) and had to wait over 30 years for a follow up to the first 2 issues. I really loved the first 4 issues, but do feel each issue is getting weaker and weaker. It's still a good read, but doesn't reach the dizzy heights of Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman. But then again, could it have? Where it used to be all Marvel...now I hardly read Marvel at all any more. Same with super-hero themed comics, almost none left that I read monthly I'm reading more and more comics which one could describe as "bleak" or "dark" but still really enjoy the totally over the top stuff like "Nemesis" and anything Mignola is attached to. This was fun, let's do it again next year.

Here are the brothers, the 4.0 was slabbed in 2002, just two months after I joined the boards. Don't think there are many AF15s still around in the first generation case.

The longer I've collected the more I've gotten into white pages...once I got every book I ever wanted, I then went on the hunt for white pagers, I've also noticed that quite often white pagers also have superior color strike. Well I loved the first mini series (House of Glass), but to be honest, each following mini series was more of the same. Curse of Crows was fine as well, but Fox Children dropped of in quality, and then Flesh and Fame became a chore to get through. So much so that I didn't even start on the next one...Maybe it was my fault by reading them all back to back, but on the other hand a few years ago I read Avengers 1-500 in order over the course of a few months and that didn't drag at all

I agree 100% It's the Batman #1 to the Tec #27. I know a lot of (non hardcore) comic collectors where this book is top of their want list...they know AF15 is the first Spidey, but are under the impression it's way out of their league and see the ASM #1 as a feasible alternative and there is always something alluring about a number 1 issue of course.
