I bought this to see if it would be a title worth collecting and methinks I may just pass on the title...anyway I got it cheap and there is a little bit of color touch on the cover....

Kind of a spur of the moment type purchase...I took a chance and got it on the cheap...plus...it's a purdy nice 6.5 ...

My only VCC purchase with many thanks to alecholland ....I've been patiently looking for a nice copy of this mag which is chock full of Moebius and Richard Corben goodness...

One of these days I'm gonna write my own interpretation of this book which is more positive towards the artwork of Jack Sparling...The story may be somewhat elementary but hey...Dells were geared for kids...

The guy on the left looks like he was shot in the back, but the guy trying to shoot the killer is aiming to the front. Nice book, in any event. The gun is parrallel with the bullet tragectory...

Yeah...I'm looking forward to reading that one...

Very nice!! Thanks. Did Gruelle do the artwork on the whole series, including Four Color books? I only have books from the regular series and all of them have art by Gruelle so logically thinking since it is his creation he probably did. Did he ink as well? I imagine so???... Maybe he's even the mystery letterer that I was wondering about in the Four Color thread. Does this have elegant, almost italic lettering sort of like Eisner sometimes used on The Spirit? Those wallpaper cover backgrounds are really eye-catching.
