That’s a beauty of a cover! I too wish I would have bought all the Harvey covers that just sat and sat on eBay about 12 years ago. 😭

Speaking of Chilling Tales covers, the Matt Fox ones were picked up at the same Con by Metro for $1k each….those were great days to be an OA collector.

This is amazing and one of the most impressive things I’ve seen for sale on these boards since I joined.

For me, the best covers from each Harvey PCH title are CoC 23, Witches Tales 25, BCM 50, and Tomb of Terror 16 (yes, 16 not 15). To see 1/2 of them up for sale in one auction is amazing, as I’ve been trying to track down CoC 23 for over a decade. My predictions for final hammer are BCM at 250-325 and CoC at 100-125. Just my 2c.

Nice to know-I wasn’t aware of that. I’ve been leaning more toward Looney Tunes than Disney. Disney seems daunting due to the amount of material out there. I don’t know where to start!

I’m a big fan of some of the cartoon comics, and one reason I feel that they don’t have the same popularity is that there are few “first appearances” in the comics. So you have to settle for “first comic book appearance” which does not carry the same weight. For example, Action Comics 1 is the first appearance of Superman, anywhere. I struggle to think of a cartoon character parallel from the GA. Combine that with the fact that even a lot of the first comic book appearances aren’t well-documented, and it makes for a hard jumping on point for traditional collectors, even those familiar with the cartoons.
