Some items you pay only HST, like comics, and maybe a brokerage fee. Depending on the value declared a lot of the time you pay nothing. Some items you will pay HST + duty. Some items depends on where they were manufactured (Can, US, Mexico - exempt) as well.

They definitely do give "A"s to books they did not do the work on. Example :

Filter has a 1.5 Qualified (9250) and a 2.5 (25000). Clink has an 8.0. All per Doc Joes Journal pics.

Sorry to hear Jason. Lost a lot of stuff (cards, posters, etc) a couple years ago when a tree grew in the sewer main and during a huge rainstorm the water was actually coming back up through the main floor drain in the basement. Luckily all the comics were in the attic. Hope it works out ok for you.

I don't see this book going much higher than the 1.5 it sits in. Chewed corners, water damage, detached staple, stain on every page, etc........ Compared to this 2.0 - I'd say it's bang on? I heard of 2.0 that sold privately in the 13k range. Seems like the new price point is being established.

Wonder if the owner fired the clerk...........

Tanning is currently getting hammered. I have a HOS 92 that the board consensus was 8.5+. Came back 7.0, one small crease and BC tanning.

You are probably right. Not sure I've seen a green label due to staples?

According to the overstreet grading guide the highest the book could get is 4.5 with a detached staple. The qualified label (green) could rate higher with the notation of the detached staple. You seem to see it a lot with the missing values stamps.

They're still out there..........just gotta hunt them down.

Couple high res scan to help with the grading. Not a bad looking book, but still a purple label no doubt.

Don't think it can go above 4.0 with the chunk missing. Very nice copy otherwise!!
