  1. I was fortunate enough to preorder a bunch as I just love that cover too. Very under-rated imo---much better than the 24 variant and only second to #23B. I wonder if that Batman 26B Middleton Variant with Poison Ivy will heat up now.
  2. Batgirl #20B - the Middleton Variant - seems to be a pretty solid $20 book in NM now....
  3. Not to derail the sales thread, but you quoted taking Superman #3....and the book shown is Superman #9.
  4. Bought several books from Jeff---they were packed very well for shipment, books arrived in terrific shape and I am very pleased. Great communication and an all around pleasant experience---I'll surely look for his next sales thread.
  5. Take Thanos #1 and 13 as well as the All New Wolverine book set
  6. I agree....unbelievable grabs. I've never seen a haul like that for $1 a piece. I have never come across such finds myself.....what a fantastic hunting ground he has---I am frustratingly jealous!
  7. I don't think that Squirrel Girl is currently in print---that was one of the titles that Marvel cut.
  8. I think that was a good move. Low entry cost and the pretty low print run (no estimation---just a guess)....you're already in the money.
  9. Surprising amount of new books are moving; Already stated: Venom #3, Moon Girll and DD #32, Ms. Marvel #31B Hans Variant.....but there are others. Batgirl 24 Middleton Variant, Teen Titans Special #1 as well as the Champions #19 and #20 2nd print connecting covers. Big Wednesday so far!
  10. No-sir-e-fbs! If I could prove it by recreating a chemical reaction process, I certainly would. You would then see a few more blue hologram issues for sale including the artistic "splotch" approach.
  11. I always thought that the blue holograms were effectively being "created" over time---heat, moisture, direct sunlight in some proportion was "turning" them. Now that you mention certain storage bags and the off-gassing---perhaps another piece of the puzzle....
  12. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but he owned or had a large interest in a comic shop called the "Spider's Web" back then. This was the store stamp....
  13. I think cover artists are quite aware of the actual demand for their services and will want to branch out on their own label sooner rather than later as they have Kirby to look at for motivation---we all know he was so handsomely rewarded for all of his extensive work and efforts. Just look at all of the repurposed cover art on all of these regular and high ration variants. I highly doubt Marvel is paying any additional fees to these artists or to their respective estates if they've passed.
  14. Are you also referencing Hughes' enormous contributions to the meat and potatoes of the Catwoman series?
  15. Wow....we'll see if that lasts though---he or she may be the first out of the gate.
  16. Good article! I agree with you---I think the long term outlook on this book is very bright.
  17. I was just kidding btw....didn't realize that this was actually dissected in a Valiant forum.
  18. Maybe the "yellowish" ones were stored in a heavy smoker's home.
  19. Hi Jerry!! Always a pleasure buying from you---I'll have my eye out for some additions!
  20. I really dislike shops that crank up the prices on "hot books" on the day of their release----I tend to avoid them and would rather spend it at other shops that don't follow that practice.
