  1. Kudos for SurferTso
  2. Kudos for Jeff. Fast and problem free transaction! Highly recommended!
  3. $110 shipped (US only). This is the lowest price on Ebay and Amazon (not first edition). I have multiple copies for sale. No returns or refunds. Paypal G&S
  4. I never conversed with Jimbo but saw his many posts. My prayers to Jimbo.
  5. I think it's pretty difficult building a high grade set. I've been collecting planet stories for a decade or so and stopped after about a dozen issues. I'm curious to know what a complete high grade set will go for today.
  6. Makes sense but there are less discretionary funds available nowadays
  7. Thanks! It's still on clink. I hope I do well.
  8. Haha. Sorry for the pic. It is a 9.4 and actually it is a Boston pedigree but forgot to note it during the submission paperwork
  9. I'm sad to say I'm finally letting this gem go (on clink). I've owned this for a few decades and it's truly one of the rare bronze keys in this grade.
  10. https://www.ebay.com/itm/115203692015?hash=item1ad2acd5ef%3Ag%3Ap48AAOSwATxh5yMl&LH_Auction=1
  11. Thanks for the replies! Grading pulps is so tough as I usually don't have another copy to compare - nor the years of experience in examining pulps. Unless it's a common manufacturer defect (not that I can confirm that either), I'm thinking to knock it down at least half a grade (e.g. from fine to vg/fine). Understanding pulps are quite rare compare to comics, am I being too harsh?
  12. I totally agreed. At the end of the day, it's all about the grade. I owned a White Mountain Captain America SA graded CGC 8.0 which I used as a book end for my books. Give me a VF pulp with bright colors and white pages any day over a Pedigree with a lower grade.
  13. I noticed a few of my pulps are warped (not flat). What causes this and how does this affect the grade?
  14. Would you guys consider the Robinson collection to be a pedigree? The Weird Tales set is absolutely stunning - possibly the best in existence.
  15. At the right price, they are highly collectible
  16. There are now 259 9.8's. it is indeed a common book. What's a reasonable price for this book?
  17. Slab it if you got it for cheap so to protect your investment for the future.
  18. Solid 9.4. Maybe 9.6 if all the moons align.
