  1. The average person is awful at sales. Just look at how bad selling on Facebook or ebay is and how people have no idea what they're doing.
  2. PayPal gives you 180 days to file a claim but why wait? Hopefully you paid goods and services and then you can easily file the claim as item not received.
  3. I think you need to go through Spencer Beck, (Artist's Choice), for Scott Hanna and I'm 99% sure he doesn't really take on commissions unless an opportunity is posted but does do them for shows. If you're looking for more inker names you can try Mark Pennington who offers commissions through The Lab Comics. I've ordered a few commissions over the years and have been happy with them. If you're on Facebook join the Sketch Prices group and you'll see a ton of commission opportunities get posted
  4. I tried contacting Walden Wong about inking a Paul Smith piece I have and he never replied. His website says he takes commissions and he's somewhat active on social media.
  5. This has a ton of contact info and I try and keep it up to date. https://www.buyfromcomicartists.com
  6. I had a bunch of pages and sketches that sold there in the spring and like a third of them ended up on ebay for insane prices...all are still there.
  7. And if it's a "historic" page as well...imagine the price!
  8. Quite a few pieces that were posted in the spring show are back up with higher prices! I always appreciate the event but a lot of bonkers prices. Did see some good stuff under $300 though but nothing in my wheelhouse.
  9. It's tough now because prices are so insane but stick to an amount of money that you are okay losing if you don't like the final product. All these people paying $500, $1,000 or more for commissions is crazy now because so often they come out blah and you're going to be losing a lot of money if the character isn't Batman
  10. That's a page I would have bought because I have others from the issue but those signatures are awful and that price has an extra zero on the end
  11. The only time I relate to artists is when a page from my collection underperforms at auction and then ends up on Anthony's site. Plenty of my recent art sold at auction is available for 3x, 4x, or more on dealer sites!
  12. I come across this all the time in my work and it's incredibly sad how often this happens and watching all the vultures come in and pick away at her and whatever money she has, which is often times just a home. I'm talking regular, middle-class families too where family members are just absolutely horrible to each other. It's a very sad part of life that most people don't see and most of these older folks will put blind faith into everyone and so often it does not work out for them.
  13. Two thoughts I had throughout, irrespective of wealth it's sad how often elderly widows are preyed upon with their estates and no matter the country, governments never care unless they think they can squeeze money out of something. This old lady was clearly ripped off during a horrible time and the courts rule against her but when the government thinks they're entitled to hundred of millions of dollars in tax debt they can re-interpret settled law to claw back money.
  14. Can't stand that guy, I never block anyone on anything...except him.
