  1. I had same (frustrating) problem w close-up pics of the label on CGC'd books. Think the optical-recognition-auto-correct "feature" likes tall pics, not wide pics, and adjusts accordingly. I.e. software might not auto-fix (and thus screw up) a pic of 5 rows of 3 books ea, as it would 3 rows of 5 books.
  2. A good friend often tells me "I'll be over if I can find my shoes...," and he's forever misplacing his reading glasses. But then he smokes a lot of weed. OTOH I've strong reason to believe NoMan can boast a clean system. Just no figuring things these days. Topsy turvy world.
  3. ^If that's the rule, I'll abide by it of course. But many threads include teaser of 'here are books from next round', so it seems kinda arbitrary. I guess my purpose is to nail down that this rule only applies to first post of a thread, and some variation of rule won't be applied to subsequent rounds once a thread gets to its Round 2.
  4. From a recent G/S/B thread: Hopefully we'll get some clarity on this new rule or new take on old rule. Is the rule simply "can't start a thread w only 1 book and say 'be back later w more books'?" In past plenty of threads post only a few books, and then say "be back Wednesday w next round." How many books are needed to constitute a legit "round?" Three books? Any rule on how long can the gap be between rounds? Does that mean a one book round is verboten, or will threads only be 'disappeared' if we start a thread with a 1-book round? Do we get a break if seller has emergency problem with, say, a dinosaur in back yard. "Postponed rest of this round, my dog just got eaten, be back later, sorry." See that kind of thing a lot in threads too.

  6. About a month ago I took this group shot, and #92 was conspicuous by its absence (not that you can tell from this mediocre pic, unless you really know your early Thor covers). And, heck, the #83 (and that FF 1) are only GRRs. So I really can't claim my work on Thor is complete.
  7. take, thereby completing my run through 200 something. ! Thanks Changer. : D
  8. MTU 38 - 5.0 OW $2 MTU 40 - 8.5 OW $5 Spidey Super Stories 9 - 8.0 OW $5 take I think at least one is still available.
  9. A few years ago in MIXED & MISC I bought from a thread that was selling dvds, Simpsons, Futurama etc. No problemo. Don't know if times have changed.
  10. My favorite bits from this one were "I am ant man..." And the thought of using the head after Hulk got through in there.
  11. Not to carp up the thread, but how is that different than listening to them? Great thread, ig.
  12. The thread is a sticky at top of G/S/B forum, and it's called "Misc. Forum Alert!" But it's funny - every time I see it I think "oh, some alert! about some misc. topic on the forums."
  13. Take marv. spotlight 16 if the deal falls through
  14. Geez I'm supposed to be thinning down the collection, but this one seems a steal at 20% off. Think I sold my run off in the 90s or something. . . Oh, and "take" please.
