  1. Really nice looking book Alex! Man you are in a roll. We are Hulk 1 bros now - I have a 4.0 as well.
  2. No obsessive - compulsive collecting or anything like that here, but I do have 348 comics from 17 different series. All are Marvel. 327 of them are Amazing Spider-Man vol.1. 40 are Silver Age, 171 are Bronze (1 Conan, 1 Luke Cage, 1 Star Wars, 1 Tarzan and 167 Spideys) and 138 are Modern (136 Spideys and 1 Star Trek). I use the CLZ comics app to keep track of them.
  3. Awesome book (and a very good scanner! )
  4. Thanks, they are nice copies indeed. The Romita run includes most probably my top 5 favourite covers of all time Spideys. And the characters and stories really took off, I love them.
  5. I filled two holes today Previously graded but nowadays in a mylar (I didn't crack them out myself - I don't think I would dare anyway)
  6. Those reds and yellows popped right out of my screen. Respect
  7. Yes, it is really worth it. Depending on the price you pay of course.
  8. Welcome. It will be great to see the books you acquire!
  9. A LOT of collectors out there would love to post this book . Awesome!
  10. Not even close to your super nice high end stuff, but here are mine.
  11. I can almost guarantee that the quality of your collection belongs in the top 5% of comic collections, with these awesome spideys.
  12. Here is a good one. Its especially satisfying to see how he grabs the books with his wet hands.
  13. I didn't win the last 7.5 on eBay so I had to comfort me somehow. This sweet thing arrived from San Diego and SoCal comics to Sweden in 3 working days :-) And here is a group shot of my first 5 appearances of Spidey and some of his friends and foes.
  14. Really nice books! I am going for similar grades for my Ditko run. I am happy with 7.5s, really happy with 8.0s and thrilled if I manage to add a 8.5 or two :-) I am curious, do you go for a 1-20 run or are these (plus the 2 and 6) the only ones you want?
  15. I was pretty confident that I was going to win this with a bid of $3600 (highest GPA for a 7.5 was $2925 until today). Little did I know about the mighty power of old labels and the potential of press & resubmit. But again, almost $5K ?
  16. I love how you casually threw those right there, ready to be read. I really need to get some readers as soon as I am done with my ASM run. I cant wait. Just a couple of lifetimes away.
  17. I would probably open a thread, here: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/16-modern-age-comic-books/
  18. Wrong thread for this kind of stuff. Post this on the "modern age" place and you should probably get some help with this.
  19. 40% for the first 100 is really a lot of work, congrats! I consider myself a newbie as well, so probably not the most suitable person to give advice, but from my experience I would suggest to go for the big books first. Those are the ones that just keep getting more and more expensive the more you wait. I would need to pay almost the double for my #1 that I purchased only a couple of years ago if I wanted to get it today and I did pay the double for my recently acquired #2 and #3 compared to what I would have paid two years ago. That doesn't translate however to "jump on the first copies you find". Take your time and find books you love, that you would consider keepers but try to save your budget for these right copies by avoiding getting "filler" books that you can always get later for the same price or a bit more. Just my 12 cents.
