I think I only have one single CGC 9.2 Spidey and its not even SA, but here it is anyway I hope 2020 will be a more productive year for my Spidey run - I have been on a hiatus during the last 6 months but I am back! -

[CLOSED] Iron Man #1 CGC 8.0 OW-W
SECollector replied to SECollector's topic in Golden/Silver/Bronze Age Only
Thank you, so much. -
Hey guys! Up for sale, this beautiful Iron Man #1 CGC 8.0 OW-W. Price is $785. I charge $15 for shipping to the US and Europe (and I cover the rest of the shipping costs). It will be shipped securely packaged and with signature required. The book will be shipped from Sweden. I purchased the book from the boards three years ago and I have to let it go to fund something else. It is a really strong 8.0 in my opinion. I have a kudos thread and have done a lot of business in the boards, mostly high $ books. The rules: Shipping: The book will be shipped securely from Sweden within 3 business days (probably faster). Shipping will cost the buyer $15 (I cover the rest) I ship to the USA and Europe. Payment: Payment only via PayPal. Other rules: No members from the probation or hall of shame list. First in the thread gets the book. Return Policy: No returns on CGC graded books. Scans:

ASM 11...THE RAREST SPIDEY IN HIGH GRADE!!
SECollector replied to trmoore54's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
This is correct, but some runs including of course ASM and FF have retained their collecting base and even "fillers" will always have a demand (if one would dare calling issues like 11 and more all less every issue up to 100 or even up to 200 a filler). With that said, I personally came to realise how tough and sought after #11 in higher grade is, right after I completed adding the early keys in my run and started more seriously researching for the rest. "Fortunately" for me, my focus is on 7.5 - 8.0 grades for Ditko issues, so it shouldn't be impossible to find one, but definitely not easy either. Thank you for your very interesting post -

An awesome cover indeed. Here is my raw copy. Got it from Metropolis, when I was in NY last year - graded as VF. -

It's how prices for this book exponentially rise from 9.0 and above, indeed. The difference even between 8.5 and 9.0 is pretty striking as well. -

Lovely book Alex, it looks great. It will be exciting to see where this dark Spidey path lead you -

VERY nice book! What is wrong with it that justifies the grade? Is it the back cover? Or am I missing something? -

This one arrived yesterday and completed my 1st appearances of Ditko villains. Please, excuse the awful oily stains - sorry, I mean the "Newton Rings". -

Doesn't get any better, indeed. -
Can someone suggest a good source for buying suitable micro chamber paper, properly sized and not too thick ?

Press and Flip -- Why the SA market is going to crash . . .
SECollector replied to tabcom's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
I can definitely relate to that - and it probably affects me even more, being still a relatively newbie. I started educating myself about the market for the first time in 2016, the same year I also purchased - some months later - my first ever graded book (from eBay mind you), my AF15 CGC 4.5. I then went all in and got most of the really big Marvel books, within a couple of years. I had in the meantime become confident about what I was looking for each book within the grade I felt comfortable with, but didn't have the slightest clue about the potential history of it (well, except my X-Men 1 than according to the label, was owned by Nic Cage and it is probably unpressed since its in an old label, but then again after reading here, who knows?). I had my similar moments as yours - but at the end I am happy with those books, really really happy that I did buy them when I did since I would probably not afford some of them today (just a couple of years later) and even if one or two of them has a... secret, dark and guilty past (lol) it doesn't really affect me. I am not really planning on selling them, probably not in my lifetime. But I always read with a pinch of awe similar stories like the 9.0 / 9.2 copy you mention and admire both the incredible memory and the extensive detective work those finds are based on. -

Nice! Pre- or post-100, or if you ask me whichever issue of volume 1 is awesome to have, especially when it looks as nice as this one. -
So Which SA Mega Key Will Surge This Year?
SECollector replied to Jaydogrules's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
It is probably just a matter of time before Kraven makes his way into the MCU. It has steadily gained - like most of the early Spideys - but it will probably catch up with other 1st villains, like #13 and #9, when this happens. -
Amazing Spiderman #33 9.8/9.6 or ASM #9 8.5/8.0?
SECollector replied to BFA1971's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
I have to agree. I really don't know how much sense would make to choose the one over the other as an investment move but I am personally more than happy with my #9 8.0 and I wouldn't change it for a #33 9.6 or 9.8. I am also happy with my #33 8.5. Why not have both in slightly lower grades if you really like the books? -
Those boxes are really really nice. Totally worth the back pain

Just playing around with my books and I do love group photos. Here are my Sinister Six firsts. I don't have an Annual 1 nor do I plan to get it in the near future, but it would definitely look nice among them. Maybe one day...! -
I had been searching for a nice looking of Amazing Spider-Man #15 in 7.5 - 8.0 for a while and I was kind of bummed when I did find my wanna-be copy in a Canadian site that wouldn't ship to Sweden. Luckily for me, Dave is a totally awesome guy who went out of his way and ordered this for me, received it and sent it safely all over here. This is just a small sample of what a kind of person he is and how lucky we are to have him here in the boards.
