Ross Andru's Amazing Spider-Man Club

Gwen. Or the clone of her. How do I get my no-prize now, please? -
Amazing Spider-Man Collecting Thread!
SECollector replied to Point Five's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
I actually just grabbed an issue #13 with an arrival stamp on the back. Is it also a "Mar 9"? I am not sure. I used to collect cards and every little mark on them was a disaster, so I got used to avoid writing and stamps as the pest. But I don't mind tidy and nice looking arrival stamps anymore. (I will post the front cover when I actually have it in my hands. I got it from the latest HA auction). -

And by the way very nice book. Is it graded by "the other guys"? -

Thanks man. Favourite cover, favourite character and one of my favourite early ASM stories as well. I like the tragic nature of Dr. Connors fate and the unique way that Ditko used to portray the duality of his personality. Good stuff. -

Yep, truly inspiring. -
Hello guys I recently upgraded this issue and decided to let my raw under copy go. If it doesn't sell within a day or two I will ship it along with the other to get cleaned and pressed and then to CGC. I have posted this one on the "Can you spare a grade?" thread and the consensus landed around a 6.5, probably a bit higher after cleaning and pressing. It has never been pressed or cleaned and it would definitely benefit from this. Here is a link to the thread for more photos. 90-day average for a 6.5 is at $839. I will however call this a 6.0 and price it at $740 which is 90-day average for a 5.5 just to be sure. I will even include shipping costs in the price. The rules: Shipping: The book will be shipped securely from Sweden within 3 business days (probably faster). Shipping included in price. I ship to the USA, Canada and Europe. Payment: Payment only via PayPal. Other rules: No members from the probation or hall of shame list. First in the thread gets the book. Return Policy: I will accept return if you notify my within 3 days after receiving the book. Buyer covers shipping cost back to me and insures that the book is returned in exact same condition as received. I have a feedback thread and have done loads of business in the boards.

Not a hint of marvel chipping either. Nice copy.

Ross Andru's Amazing Spider-Man Club
SECollector replied to Get Marwood & I's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
As a kid growing up in a small country in Europe I never had the chance to read the original Spider-Man titles. I started collecting and reading them as a big kid and I haven't got to the Andru issues yet. But I do have them and finally found the time to make some scans of these. Now if I only find the time between job and kids to get some reading as well -

Thanks. This was a cool find. I buy 99.5% of my books from the US, but I found this one from a gentleman here in Sweden. He had actually bought it when he was in the USA back in 1974, read it and kept it in a box since then. He is by no means a comics collector, but he loved this issue. I made him a decent offer and he reluctantly decided to make his wife (and me) happy.

Nothing to compare with the ultra high grade copies in here, but here is my sweet little book. Got it from the Reeces a few months ago.

Thanks. The defect on back cover looks probably as an indentation from getting pressed from another book probably sitting in the box for like 30+ years. I don't think it is breaking any colour and it should indeed press out. He is letting it go for $715, so I can't say no to this. I will post some better scans when I have it in my hands, if everything works out!

Hi guys! This book is not mine (yet!) but it can be for the right offer. What do you think about the grade? I would appreciate all opinions so that I can make him a decent offer. This comes from the original owner. Sorry for the quality of some of the photos, but these are all I got from him. Thank you in advance!

Eye candy. Thanks for sharing! It's obvious that you have put a lot of time and dedication on this. You can make it if you are still tempted to complete it, I am sure. If you do decide to sell however, you would do best by selling at least the slabs individually and maybe filler issues as smaller runs or if they are in really good condition, even those individually. For example here in the boards. Or even better by selling to me directly and helping me to fill some gaps .
