I have graded several copies of this issue and have always found CGC to be a little strict with this one. It needs a press. With that , I would say 9.4 .

Thanks Matt I am working on the Fantastic four as we speak. This is going to be more fun than I thought. A little more challenging as well. I checked eBay for Patsy and Hedy 109. Not one CGC to be found.

Sledgehammer- thanks for the link.I was thinking cover date. Going to start with tales to Astonish 86 or Amazing Spider-Man 43. Looks like the Mexican version of Spider-Man 60 is going to be the one that gives me fits.

So I’ve decided to chase all the Marvel Comics published the month and year that I was born. December 1966- Yes I’m old and having a mid-life collecting crisis- lol. Let’s call it a mini bucket list. Would you guys be able to help me compile a list? I am sure that it is not too big. I will be looking to obtain CGC 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0 if they are not too cost prohibitive for my wallet. My brain must have all the same grade. Crazy but any one will suffice my itch. My wife is going to kill me. It seems like a fun way to appease the completionism syndrome that torments me. I would love to see pictures of any that you guys have as well. Also I would love to see and hear about marvel comics from the year you were born.

In the infrastructure bill the current 1099 reporting thresholds were passed. The Build Back Better plan takes things a giant step further. IRS will have the right monitor every citizens bank account for any transaction over 600. Basically they can look at everything you do. If Charlie IRS agent chooses you or your account is flagged , and they decide to look further you may have some explaining to do. Currently you are flagged if you have a bank transaction over 9,999. Under the proposed Build Back Better- you will be flagged at 600.

Very nice book.After a clean and press- I think it could get a 7.0 - Conservatively , I would grade it as a 5.5 or 6.0. . Good Luck with completing your run and keep us posted on how this book fares. All the best and Happy New Year

This is a very nice copy. Unfortunately the tear on the back cover will hurt the grade.For me submitting certain books is a personal preference. If you want to sell or just want it slabbed then of course , thats the way to go. I would be keeping this in a mylar , but thats just me. Either way,I would definitely have this cleaned and pressed. My estimate would be a 7.5 to 8.0. Love the book and your list as well- Good Luck and keep us posted- Would love to see how you make out

Hello CGC, The BACC website lists CGC as an exhibitor/sponsor for their upcoming show. Will CGC be accepting in person submissions at the BACC on July 17, 2021? Kindly advise Thank You

On E-Bay- There are still a few sellers in states that dont charge tax. The way I identify this is by clicking BIN from a potential seller. The next prompt describes the complete transaction . This includes tax and shipping. If tax is listed you pay it or you can exit the transaction. If tax is not listed you wont be charged and can follow through with payment. For auctions , its a shoot and I always factor tax in my bidding. I recently made a high value purchase(BIN) and did not have to pay tax. I may not have purchased it if there was tax.

Thanks for the input. You would think that if the Beast cover is the only one to have the insert that CGC would identify the difference. Oh well no big deal. Out of curiosity, I will prepare a submission and request that they note that they note it on the label. I will report back sometime in October or November.

I have around 100 copies of this Beast variant cover. I just checked ten of them and they all have the Bo inserts. FYI- I have multiples of the other covers as well and the ones that I checked did not have the insert. My question is this: I have submitted multiple copies to CGC and none of them were returned with the Club Bo insert listed on the label. Is this something that you have to request when submitting this book? Its possible that the ones I sent did not have the insert but I doubt it.

Yes the effects of mother nature, fires and even theft always looms in the back of the minds of all collectors. You do realize the fragility of these things. I cant imagine how I would feel to lose my collection. That's coming from a guy who lost 50 percent of his house and possessions. 2 cars a motorcycle etc.. My comics may have put me over the edge

Sadly it did- It wiped out my neighbors Baseball ,Basketball and Football Card Collection. All cards from the 50's,60's,70's and 80's. Cash value probably 60-80k. His emotional loss was almost unbearable. I felt guilty that my comics and cards survived unscathed.

Hey Spider- Awesome and congratulations on locating the house. I live in Rockaway and always feel like I have seen it before. Like deja vu. I did look for it to no avail. Anyway , this town has been seeing so much development over the last 30 years since I moved here from Brooklyn.It does not surprise me that it’s an apartment building now. Many things come and go but comic art is forever!

Paul- Can you give me a status on GCG plans for Marvel Universe trading cards? I have not seen any mention of these. Are these cards under consideration? . I would think that CGC would consider giving comic book trading cards some prioritization. Regards, Martin

Unfortunately I just send them in and wait- i try not to even estimate my wait- they arrive when they arrive. I am usually happy with the grades and Ive learned not to be obsessed with the wait. You could say I have been conditioned

Dont know if anyone knows this? Is there any way to determine the ratio of the distribution for the different covers? 1.25 CPV, 1.25 CPV Newstand 1.00 cover and 1.00 Newstands

It was second print and at the time there was no FMV in go collect and there were only 6 9.8 in the census. I think that is what drove the price up. Now there are so many hence the price drop. They were that’s why I’m miffed

Thanks for the info- Normally I use Go-Collect and E-Bay recent sales to determine a price if I am selling a book as a But it Now. That seemed to work well for the most part. The last time something went haywire for me was a year or two ago with a Hulk 377 second print. I was going to list it as a BIN . Couldn't find recent sales in ebay and Go Collect did not have a FMV at the time. I auctioned it and it went off for close to 400. That worked out in my favor. You win some and you lose some. I now know that a little more research sometimes has to be done before hand.

Still-That’s a lot of hype. I can’t believe what I sold mine for just a few weeks ago.
