This cover is horrible, and anyone who says otherwise is a liar!
B2D327 replied to Get Marwood & I's topic in Comics General
Batman is sitting on Supes and at the same time cradling from underneath while Supes is actually carrying Batman...basically carrying each other. Either that or some pretty wild homoerotic fantasy being expressed by the artist- 691 replies

"Well loved" is the term I would have used to describe a treasure that meant so much to me, and a great story of your collecting journey, imo. ❤️

First book I bought with my own money from the neighborhood coffee shop's spinner rack. I was hooked ever since. I remember being mesmerized by a panel with the Angel flying solo because his costume looked so cool to me at the time.

I thought so too. I think he just needs to work on the contrast since the guns get kind of lost in the costume. I was pretty impressed though because he's improved quite a bit

This Week In Your Plastic Crack, Action Figures and Toy Collection

This may have to be my first Mezco purchase. I’d planned on making a custom figure eventually but the detail and sculpt on this one is as close to a perfect figure that one can find -

I used to love the cartoons when I was a kid, so much that I binged about an hour or so on Tubi not too long ago. -
My home attendant took @mytastebud ‘s raffle prize to drop off at the post office tomorrow morning. Hopefully, he’ll receive it this week since it’s going from the east coast all the way to Cali and will enjoy the contents not to mention posting pics if he’s happy with it. I’ll keep him updated with tracking as soon as I get it too.

Well, looks like they're gonna keep me here for some time until my symptoms clear up and they figure out the issue...at least they have wifi

Thanks, bud. Things started off pretty mild and have gotten progressively worse since Thanksgiving and me procrastinating hasn't helped. Likely taking a trip to the emergency room today and see what's going on. Will keep you at posted

Feeling a bit under the weather and missed the drawing but I’m okay with the assigned prize. @mbatko_8 I’ll need a little time to put together your mystery box but feel free to pm me your shipping info in the meantime ,

Some of the weirdest books I own...Hand drawn golden age covers
B2D327 replied to Real Elijah Snow's topic in Comics General
I remember my older brother having a cover less treasury sized Fantastic Four sometime in the early 70s that he made a cover for using a sheet of oak tag that had a glossy finish on one side that was attached to the book by a rubber band going lengthwise around the spine and center of it. From what I recall, he’d done a pretty good job of copying one of Jack Kirby’s covers to make it presentable but I was only around 4 years old myself at the time so what’d I know. Years later, I would do something similar to a few coverless books I had in my collection but we’re talking decades before everyone carried a camera in their pocket everywhere they went let alone sharing the pics with the collecting community. Wish I had though.
