  1. @CGC Mike Hoping you can get me some clarification on what's covered for a ME submission with the new rules. I feel like I'm getting a runaround with CS. I have a book that has a mark on it that kinda looks like it's from pen. It's graded 9.8 so there's no way this went through grading with it on there. This book was graded the end of last year. Customer service denied my request for a ME on it saying it's beyond the 14 day window, and I'm also not the original submitter as it was submitted through my presser. They did however, in the same email grant approval to a different book that was also submitted through the same presser from over 2 years ago for debris. Coincidentally that book's debris could also be a pen mark, though hopefully just a small fleck of something black. If the denied book is not pen mark, then it's clearly debris and should be covered, but if it is pen mark, then that's way worse than debris, right? Shouldn't this be covered too? It's a $600 book in 9.8, so it's not a cheap book.
  2. In the scheme of things, getting anything out of bankruptcy can be a win. Your refund will come only if there's anything left from the big fish who have money and power to get their money back.
  3. Dark Empire is definitely a relic of the 90s, but I love it. It's what got me into Star Wars really. You have to read it for what it meant back in the mid-90s versus 2023 though. It's like reading Silver/Bronze Age stories of Captain America nowadays.
  4. For Dark Horse, I'd suggest: Dark Times, KOTOR, Tag and Bink, Tales (the 64 pagers), Tales of the Jedi arcs. I'd skip the core character series' stuff as it just makes canon now weird. Though Dark Empire and Heir to the Empire series are great too.
  5. Technically all the scammer would need to do is fabricate a replacement of the weakest version of the CGC slabs that have been designed. Still a challenge, but significantly easier.
  6. Post office charges like $15 to reroute to a facility, so in that regard UPS is cheaper. You can also pay around $20 a year or $40ish for a lifetime ability to reroute. Definitely worth it if you get UPS a lot.
  7. Nah, they still exist. They just always seem to show up the day after I purchase a big ticket item.
  8. Best solution to this is to supply watermarked photos of every slabbed book in the census. I know it's only useful to books going forward, but it would make it harder to counterfeit. Too bad they didn't do this earlier when they still had time to prepare for this problem instead of trying to monetize it.
  9. There's 50(!) 9.9 reds. It's amazing that when you team up with CGC suddenly your grades get higher.
  10. I don't think it's unrealistic that potential artist copies were cherry picked as well. Something similar happened with the Radiant Black #1 foil fiasco. Also, looks like they were graded around Jan 10th. Maybe replacement copies for damaged ones with the whole case issue?
  11. Prince Namor, the Savage Sub-Mariner #67 (Nov. 1972)
  12. Artist comps probably. Also the listing said limited to 300. It doesn't say only 300 exist. (Or at least I can't find that.)

  14. Pictures? I haven't had any issues, but I'm in a low humidity and heat climate.
  15. D23 Spiderman comics. X-Men 510 JSC cover. Shield 1 partial sketch if you could ever find a copy of that.
  16. Only to play devil's advocate here, it's probably likely the grader's note was supposed to be 8.0, not 9.0.
  17. I guess it depends on your refund policy. If you say no refunds, I'd contact Ebay CS and explain your situation and have them look at the messages. If the item is as described, and he just wants to return it because he's now unhappy, I'd see if you can get them to deny the refund. If you accept refunds, you may have no recourse. I just hope you don't have to pay shipping. You should also note the weights of what you sent and the item returned in case he tries to scam you.
  18. It's pretty well known on these forums Fedex is terrible. This other post by Mike may help you.
  19. I wonder if there's a spine roll. I know those ding books pretty heavily.
  20. 26 boxes? Wow. You'd need probably a van to transport all those right? Should narrow down in and out vehicles I'd think. Does the storage company offer any sort of insurance compensation?
