  1. I know that GPA is a place to get values on graded books. It used to be Overstreet was where to go for non CGC values/prices. Where to folks go to get current values of books? I am hoping the EBAY sold books is not the answer. But is there an online place that keeps up with current trends and values?
  2. I forgot what happened on the old $10 deal. But i have made a handful of transactions. Some very high-end and some very low.
  3. I have this book. Looks nice but on the lower right hand corner there are a few flecks of paper from internal page showing. When I open to those pages, you can see the problem. If i was to send this in to be graded, how much would CGC ding this for?
  4. Hey now, I sold many a comics on RACM back in the day. This is how I met Dr. Banner. I sold books on there for many years until EBAY came along. I used to run really cool auctions.
  5. Just picked this book up. A CGC graded Silver Surfer #4 8.0. I have posted some images "hard to get good images when in case" below. After you see picks let me know your thoughts. It appears to have never been pressed or clean. Back cover has a lot of soiling and other issues as well. Should I be happy with the 8.0? or if I got it cleaned and pressed would it get higher? It seems like a very generous grade as is....Also. there are "NO" grader notes for this book. I checked.
  6. My question is about the right edge on the cover. Not a clean cut. I read a previous post about it was an issue back then. Will there be a deduction for the right edge or not?
  7. I am scared to open it all the way because if I do, I am sure it will be 100% detached. Lets just assume that it is 100% detached. Is there a general rule that this flaw is a .5...1.0...1.5...2.0 deduction?
  8. Looks nice but staple pull on lower staple. How much does CGC usually take off for a staple pull?
  9. Not sure where to post this but.... What is the best way to take pics of books you want to sale? Black background with or with out flash? Should I scan the books? When i see some images, they are so perfect. Any helpful tips would be great.
  10. I have had this book for a while. Not even sure how or when I got. Sent it in to get graded and came back 9.6. Not to bad. The last one sold in May for $900. Is there much interest for this or is it a hard one to sell? Any of you guys interested. There are so many other books I would like that I could trade or use sell money toward. Thought? Should I put this up in the Sale thread? I do not really have a price. If someone offered me $900 for it, I would greatly accept :-)
  11. You guys are killing me. Coxstrong is a name i have had since high school. Last name is Cox.
  12. Looks like this is the place for this post. Opening a box from CGC. I have been told many time about the clanging and not using the bags. Lesson learned :-)
  13. Is there a specific place where people add video links to opening a shipment of cgc books? I see a lot of them on you tube but was not sure if there was a place in the forum. Here is a link to books i just got if anyone cares to look.
  14. so are you guys saying that I should take the book (as is/ graded 5.5 in slab) to CGC and ask them to re evaluate? Will they do that? I know they are coming to a show this weekend in my area.
  15. you are correct. It was graded way back in 2004. and I am debating a re submission.
  16. how much does CGC take off for "Moderate Fading"? Book is 9.2 range but cover is faded. It is Hulk 181. I assume that is was a display book for a while. Does CGC reduce grade by a full grade? 2 grades.....? Just curious.
  17. Book looks pretty good except for a pen scribble om Marvel logo. Upper left hand corner. How would this grade? How much of a hit does this scribble do.
