  1. Thanks! Tried and didn’t see any information listed. Book was slabbed over a year ago so I guess it’s no longer in the system, and I’m pretty sure I don’t have any invoice information if I needed.
  2. Hello folks! When it comes down to shipping high valued books, which provider is best? I usually use USPS for all my books when sold and shipped. I have received items from UPS and FedEx, but have not used them before. Just trying to figure out which provider would take more care of my books. I know USPS has the registered mail option but that could take up to 2 weeks to be delivered yet provides the most security I think. And, unfortunately I’m on a time crunch since sdcc is just around the corner. My fault for delaying it but I finally decided. Also, how do I get the grader notes for a book I submitted? Do I still have to purchase? Thanks!
  3. Don’t follow either character. Its a good conversation and interesting to see folks opinions.
  4. Speaking in terms of first appearances for the wolverine, is there a reason why foom 2 is not acknowledged as appearance? Doesn’t this have a prototype for the character? Maybe because it’s not a finalized version. I haven’t opened my copy in a while but seems familiar.
  5. Makes sense, just figured since he co-created the hulk it would be a good addition. After taking a closer look, don’t think a press would help. Most spine ticks break the color and not many folds.
  6. So it’s no secret that I’ve been trying to upgrade my low grade signed copy to a mid-grade blue book. I need some advice, since my copy is already signed should I add Stan Lee to it and send it in for a press? I’m hoping the press would help but not really sure.
  7. Batman: the killing joke, 9.4 signed by Brian Bolland. $189. Book is loose in case.
  8. Thanks for your help folks. Looks like I’ll be putting my buying efforts on hold until I can raise enough funds for a cgc copy.
  9. Feel like I’m in the same boat. Would love a blue label. Prices at the moment are out of my reach though. Lowest cgc offer I’ve had is 3100 for a 7.5. Don’t know if that’s good or not but still too high for me. does anyone know how often gpa is updated?
  10. I’m also hoping that the prices start to drop. I’m on the hunt for a graded 7.0-9.0 copy. Just not willing to risk being able to put food on the table for it.
  11. Well, my rock is pretty cozy so what can I say. I also don’t understand the connection between Disney buying fox and how that relates.
  12. Does anyone know why the prices have increased and the demand has spiked all of the sudden? Of course this is a key book and demand fluctuates just seems out of no where.
  13. Sure thing. It’s an 8.5 by their standards.
  14. Did that but don’t know what that means in terms of cgc’s grading. Couldn’t find the definitions for cgc when I searched online either, just the numerical values but no breakdown of what those mean.
  15. And another IG exclusive. Is it me or does it seem like they are dominating the dell’otto variants as of late? Don’t get me wrong, I like the variants they’ve been having, just an observation.
  16. Unfortunately, books not in hand. I’m considering purchasing the book so before I take the leap I was hoping more experienced folks could help out.
  17. I was trying to avoid mentioning the name, but no it’s not.
  18. Thanks! Just posted.
  19. Hey folks! Thinking of purchasing a non-cgc graded book, and was wondering what folks thought the grade would be if I cracked it and subbed with cgc. I understand that it’s in a case so might be hard to tell, but any feedback would be great. Thanks!
  20. I see the waves now too. Could it be glare from the lights or maybe newton rings? Hope it’s not moisture.
  21. Anyone willing to take a shot at grading this book? It’s slabbed but figured I’d ask.
  22. I’ll repost the pictures. Apologies if this is not the right place to post pictures. I can definitely see some tick marks on the front spine and the stain on the back. Maybe a crease on the back bottom corner too. Hard to tell as mentioned while in the case.
