  1. Elektra #1 cover C, signed for $40. Unopened so no idea what the back cover looks like.
  2. Elektra #1 cover B, signed for $30. Unopened so no idea what the back cover looks like.
  3. Elektra #1 cover B, unsigned for $20. Back bottom left corner looks to not have been cut square when printed, and has a slight crease in the same spot.
  4. Elektra #1 cover A, unsigned for $15. Back bottom left corner looks to not have been cut square when printed.
  5. Hello folks! Up for grabs today are four raw J. Scott Campbell, Elektra #1 variants. 6. How about some: marvel (ASM, anything wolverine/x-23, x-men, deadpool), Image (redneck, saga, TWD), anything McFarlane, Dell’Otto, Mattina, celeb books... so many options just can’t decide...
  7. Yea I was watching this too, to see what would happen. Not bad at all for a raw book.
  8. I forgot to add the “and” on my comment. I am aware that the hug was given to the girl. Just pointing out that the physical contact was surprising considering I thought the rules were “no touching Stan Lee.” Regardless, he and the girl were fortunate. Glad they were both able to.
  9. Got it. This makes sense. Well hopefully this new Reprint cover has a positive affect versus a negative. Otherwise owning the original may not be outright worth it if you can get something potentially better. I’m still going to like both and the original just because it is the original not a replica. Authentic!
  10. I’m ok with reprints. Allows for affordability without losing the great art on the cover. Regarding the concerns, wouldn’t the dollar reprints (true believers, image firsts, etc) then too have a negative effect on the originals? Haven’t seen anything bad happens with the originals of these though.
  11. Wait. I thought physical contact was not permitted to any extend? He shook your hand and gave a hug. You two were lucky. If only this were the norm.
  12. Good point. That’s why it’s a always a good idea to invest in reprints and get those signed. At least that’s what I’ve done. It’s worked so far and I’m happy with the results.
  13. Now I see, know and understand which book was being referenced as the “spider-roach”...
  14. I think it’s a store variant. Looks good though imo. Might get a copy.
  15. Got it. This makes a lot more sense. My original post was just a general question as I’m unfamiliar with the behind the scenes process for print runs and he like. This has been extremely informative and would explain why some store variants are limited to 500, 600, etc. Still think it’s a huge waste to destroy books to meet a print run though. Might as well pay the “plate change” fee instead and make the money back in sales.
  16. Is this true? Didnt know that. I’ve seen a few print runs recently listing variants as low as 500 and 600. So this means their just tossing out and destroying the extra books to meet this number? Such a waste..
  17. From what I understood on FB, 1000 is the print run. This x-men red 1 dell’otto was only going to be sold on unknowns website starting yesterday, and once they sold out that’s it. Glad I got one too!
  18. Hello folks! I’m trying to save some space in an already small room so was wondering if this was a good idea. I’ve stacked my raw books in boxes before, but wasn’t sure if this was doable for graded books considering the extra care they need to avoid cracking the case. Thanks!
  19. Sorry to hear about your loss. My condolences to you and yours.
  20. Don’t think it will come back a 9.8 and I didn’t request any pressing. Maybe 9.6 or 9.4. Great cover so I’ll be happy either way. I agree with the Ditko and Lee mash up on this one too. Sent it in for the signature so just got to hope for the best with grade, signature and placement.
