  1. My question is how do some of the collectors on this board go about seeking these collections? There's most defnitely people out there who are willing to sell, but how do you find them in the first place. Thoughts?
  2. Many HG issues don't sell for much more than $10-20, but they always sell and that's why people always mention how this series does well. You have to keep in mind that this series sells really well, but really only among a community of collectors "in the know". If Miracleman ever became more mainstream these issues would be worth much more.
  3. Yuck that's just horrible. I wish McFarlane would just give it up already. BTW, here was a recent MM #15 sale on ebay. I thought you guys might find it interesting. Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MEWA:IT I bought a NM copy for $20 less than that about a year ago. I wonder if this issue has heated up a bit.
  4. Hey Ewan, where do you see the A1 Sketchbook variant values going if word gets out about this book? Sure there's only 500 copies, but the book isn' t really a MM book. It has him and bates on the cover, but it's not a comic perse. As a result, there's no key story or anything of any significant substance to the book other than the cover. Thoughts? Oh yeah and for anybody who cares, I just snapped up a NM copy of MM #23 (very tough to find with that purple cover) to replace my VF copy. I'm really psyched about that.
  5. pkveronese, that MM A1 sketchbook is such a thing of beauty it's not even funny. That book is certainly one of a kind. I don't like signed books, but this one is the exception. It's kind of like with getting signed baseball's from pro baseball players. If Barry Bonds signs the ball, it's cool, but there's a bunch signed that way. But if he signs it with his middle name or something out of the ordinary, then it's a million times more interesting and special. Well I think it's safe to say that your A1 than most of the other ones out there:)
  6. I bought my sketchbooks from midtown comics. Originally it was on their website, but when I went to buy 2 copies it was listed as backordered. I figured there was no way they were gonna get me any copies. Well low and behold, they found 2 copies and I got them today. This book is sweet! I'm gonna take the better of the two and get it slabbed along with my MM #15 and MM #24, which are both in pristine condition. I think the the sketchbook was born to be slabbed with that awesome front and back cover.
  7. Hey guys just a question since you all are big MM collector's too: Can anybody think of some other MM or MM related books worth adding to my collection? Here's what I have: MM 1-24 MM 3-D Apocrypha 1-3 MM Family 1,2 A1 Sketchbook (2 copies on the way in the mail as we speak) I've heard that A1 #1 has a warpsmith story by Moore and that Neil Gaiman wrote a MM story in Total Eclipse #4. Any other books I should keep an eye out for?
  8. I just got a hold of two copies of the A1 Sketchbook Variant myself. It's really tough to get unsigned copies. Man if these ever get some interest comparable to the other MM books watch out! The book is a year old and it's already really hard to get. One way to tell that this is an underrated book is by looking at Milehigh's website. If this book was in demand I'm sure they would be asking for more than $12.
