Did the X-Men # 1 CGC 9.4 over at ComicLink sell? I know the highest offer for a while was 100 000$ and the BIN was 150 000$. I saw it was gone today.

I also workout and have been into martial arts (karate and aikido) for over 2 decades. I am happy to see when others take care of themselves it's a good thing for sure. I always believed in a balance of healthy brain and healthy body. But I also know that usually over time the brain wins (then it gives up over time to) and the body gives up. But always enjoy it while you still can and keep it in the best shape you can. I have seen this time and time again over the years and it is sad to see. A lot of martial artists I know aged and they sit in a wheelchair just looking at others working out. Maybe that makes them happy I don't know I never wanted to bother them so I never asked.

I think FF1 is also picking up steam in 6.0 and lower.

As mentioned before to me SC22 is very undervalued compared to other top SA key issues. I know it went up in value a few years back but still seems very cheap.

SC22 seems to be one of the hotter books at the moment.

I figure this may make things easier in all the specific book topics where this subject is discussed. That way people can talk about the books and their love for their superheroes without the having to endure the money aspect of the hobby. And for us people who want to know what is going on financially as well we can have our own thread.

Rarity is one thing and what people want to collect is another. Everyone knows GA books are rarer but a lot of people prefer the SA. Personally I love the TEC series and Captain America Comics series. Thing is even someone tried to collect the non key issues they are expensive in any grade.

I meant over the last year has demand been the same or is it slower or are more people buying? What grades are moving the best?

No it is not Mantle fans are scared to see Mantle not been some kind of baseball God. Roberto Clemente was better than Mantle. Mantle played injured I bet you a lot of other good players did as well and they don't get the justice they deserve. Mantle was a poster boy for MLB and a Yankee. In 30 years the younger generation will rely on career stats more and more and Mantle is no where near the top of any of them. Once the Mantle generation passes away unlike Babe Ruth he will fade away over time. On the other hand Babe Ruth is baseball and that will never change. Mantle was a good player nothing more. The only reason some see it as more is because they attach emotions to him that's it.

Stats wise Mantle is not even in the top 10. Hank Aaron is way beyond Mantle as are a bunch of other players like Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker (over 3600 hits and hit well over .300), Pete Rose, Derek Jeter, Honus Wagner and so on. Mantle hit 536 HR and did not even get close to 3000 hits and his career average is below .300. At best the guy is somewhere in the top 50 players of all-time.....and I say at best. He is no Babe Ruth that is for sure!! His cards are way overvalued compared to some other players. I mean give me a break Hank Aaron had 755 HR and almost 3800 hits and averaged over .300 the guy was a machine. Racism played a lot into Mantle been seen as a king but the truth are in his stats. Even Albert Pujols has better stats than Mantle. Pujols will get to 3000 hits and has more than 600 HR. Yes Mantle won championships but that is a team effort.

Why not anything is possible in such a connected world. A lot of people here in Canada collect baseball cards even though our national sport is hockey. And vie versa. I am not saying the Asian market will be huge at first it will take time like anything else to build and grow.

Time will tell. Gator is the AF15 in a bubble or has that bubble passed and there is a new price point for this point in every grade that is now just the accepted norm?

No panic my BB28 is a much stronger looking 6.0 hence the result. And the AF15 6.5 did well in my opinion at 67 000$ with that PQ (and the top staple damage as well) and with the time of year it is. Results are always weaker it seems this time of year and that will last till the spring or so.
