  1. 2.1 million w. the 15% added, right?
  2. Seems they're just selling off their stock of supplies and not replenishing anything. Anybody know vendor with a good selection of archival comic/magazine supplies, bags, boards, boxes? Bags Unlimited is actually very "limited".
  3. TAKE Blue Ribbon 7. Almost overlooked this thread.
  4. No updates over the past month. Anybody have info? Thx.
  5. In five decades of collecting, I've bought 70,000 books, sold zero.
  6. I was fortunate enough to get a number of his books and other items at auction. He amassed one of the very greatest collections in the history of the hobby. Among the top 10 of all time, zero doubt. R.I.P.
  7. For comparison, Mycomicshop has a 5.5 A-3 copy on consignment at $66K, but the book needs to be reholdered, the holder is beaten to sh*t. If I could get that book for a little more than the 2.5 C-1, that would be my choice. Thoughts?
  8. What's the current "jumping on" price point for a complete copy of Batman 1 now, this copy in particular?
  9. Just made my initial inspection of this year's edition. LOTS of major upward pricing, across every comic era and genre it appears. Not like the huge hikes in the last edition though.
  10. Been buying it since #5 in 1975. Read it cover to cover every year. Last year's edition contained a huge price correction across the whole hobby to more accurately reflect real valuations.
  11. It's a "weird big key". The Sandman character is almost unknown outside of the hobby.
  12. What's the record for a piece of comic-related original art? This painting was used as the cover for Molly Hatchet's "Flirting With Disaster" album BTW.
  13. For example, Action 39 has a Prize Comics ad, along with cover ads for All-Flash 1 and lots of other DC titles. I've seen Prize Comics ads in a number of early-40s DCs. How were National and Prize Publications affiliated? Clearly they were, based on the above.
  14. Got my copy, been studying it. These are the most dramatic price hikes in the history of the guide, no other annual adjustment has ever come close. They're still off ridiculously on most everything, but by a factor of ten, not a factor of fifty.
  15. Still love looking at these though, bought every edition from #4 up. Wonder if they've adjusted to more accurately reflect how so many books have exploded in the last year.
