  1. The Maltese Falcon and The Treasure of The Sierra Madre are two of my favorites. My son is a huge Bogart fan too. He bought a 1951 Chevy Styleline and added a personalized license plate which reads BOGART.
  2. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? That question is as relevant now as it was 2000 years ago.
  3. Praying for you Jimbo. I've seen the power of prayer work in my own family. Just this year, my brother suffered a heart attack and stroke. He fully recovered and is back at work. With God all things are possible.
  4. Alain is a treasure. He sent payment for a book within seconds after we agreed on a price. He contacted me immediately after receiving the book, and even left feedback for me.
  5. And he had a completed oil painting within 25 minutes. If Frazetta actually said that Bob "over works the painting", he should have realized that would not be plausible given the time constraint.
  6. Considering the popularity of Bob Ross, this is not surprising. He actually inspired me to give it a try. My (unfinished) tribute to Bob...
  7. Steve Ditko was my favorite Spider-Man artist. I remember seeing the change in Spidey in issue 39, and 10 year old me wasn't happy.
  8. Found this great deal on Ebay, but someone beat me to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-very-old-and-encapsulated-graded-comic-books-package-deal-/195359429658?hash=item2d7c54541a:g:P2sAAOSw7R9jKC7L&amdata=enc:AQAHAAAAoI8UK2xm6HQ8XKnZbPO48bf29UpTkma/jWOu7XhEXeeeLMlpKAd26Fq9gcXX/pBGf22cTNZETIrYokIDaFBDmNqN2DPVar0cWQvc8fePCHCloZjWpQAolez76ZIvgzP+bFNKe1ptYEMLkYXrrILAzTqiodRIywbNr4ibQraX27uu4Aqswyglvyhzm5fbzQ9mUt1kJrZlw1N3yofIIgkgvzI=|tkp:Bk9SR7KyyqmOYQ&pageci=6f83caf2-00b6-4552-be3b-464230dc93ca&redirect=mobile
  9. Battlezone was one of the first 3D games. The other games of that era couldn't match that sensation of being immersed in a battle from all sides. It was great.
  10. Very happy for you. As a fellow hoarder, I can understand why you'd want to scale back. I have more hobbies and interests than time to enjoy them.
  11. The Atari 2600 was probably the first console I bought. Spent a lot of time playing Space Invaders. Shortly after that, I acquired a Vectrex console and was addicted to Battlezone. The Vectrex used a vector scan display instead of a raster scan. Lines were bright with no pixelation. Wish I'd kept it.
  12. Yet another reason to refrain from cracking open a slab.
  13. It was "buyer beware" before you bought it. He sold you a book for less than its normal selling price. He then sent pics which show he is clueless about how to package books for shipping. He's trying to torment you.
  14. Me : I don't think I'll go to Fantasticon this year, I really can't afford to buy anything good anyway. My wife : We're going. Me : You don't even collect comics! My wife : I like to look around. I guess we're going.
  15. Those are some mighty impressive miswraps.
  16. I forsee a day when AI is incorporated into the fridge. It begins by making dietary suggestions, then evolves to scan your body mass index. It will make certain compartments inaccessible until you shape up and obey.
  17. You'll have more respect for old folks someday.
  18. I like this one, and it isn't quite 30 years old. It's the only one I could think of.
  19. How can I hover on a touch screen?
  20. It's halfway between NM and NM+. That makes it NM _|.
  21. Yeah, you're old. But our posting percentages are almost equal. I like you.
  22. Thank you so much. It's been tough keeping my rigid posting schedule, there were times I didn't think that I could go on. If anyone wants to check their "post to days" ratio, here's a day to day calculator. https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwiZmsy58-jzAhWKAp0JHe06BtEQFnoECAEQAg&usg=AOvVaw2n4qikr1PuatzwJYCTdUrG
  23. Well, today is the 1715th day I've been on the boards. This is my 851st post. That is unbelievably close to 1 post every 2 days.
  24. Superman's slogan has been updated too... https://www.google.com/url?q=https://screenrant.com/superman-american-way-new-slogan-tolerance-dc-comics/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwii_aGb_cXzAhVYHc0KHefOBY4QFXoECAoQAg&usg=AOvVaw0eo0b2PYqq5drKe1tB0MnH
