  1. The lowest graded comic in my CGC collection of +/-500 books...but super glad to have this puppy.
  2. For the past few days, I've been debating to myself the pros and cons of buying these (2) books in a "package deal" for my personal collection. Even though the price of both books have dropped significantly since the beginning of 2022, this "package deal" still cost 5 figures (not cheap). In the end, I decided to break open my piggy bank and told myself that the MCU has BIG...BIG...plans for the FF, X-Men and Wolverine. Major "Key" books such as Giant Size X-Men #1 and Hulk #180 will always be in demand by peeps in the comic community.
  3. Yeah...I'm also sitting on a few copies of FF #28 waiting for the X-Men and the Fantastic Four to enter the MCU.
  4. Gang... I was fortunate to recently locate another high grade copy of Flintstones #16 (1st App. of Bamm Bamm ; January 1964). However, this puppy was raw / uncertified when I found it on Ebay. Well, it just came back from CGC as a 9.4 (OW/W Pages). I'm now the happy camper of (2) copies of this bad boy.
  5. (2) recent acquisitions that I made the past few weeks for my personal collection. The Jetsons #1 by Charlton Comics (November 1970) is the ONLY 9.8 copy on the CGC census (Census = 31 Copies ; 9.8 Highest). I couldn't resist the opportunity to own the single highest graded copy. Furthermore, I was relieved / happy to see that I'm not the only one who is focused on procuring these "cartoon books" as a Jetsons #1 by Gold Key (January 1963) in CGC 5.5 just sold the other day on a Heritage auction for a record high $900.
  6. I'm still hoping that Thundra will one day appear in the MCU...
  7. Fortunately, I still have my copy of Amazing Fantasy #15. Funny, as the price of this book continues to escalate more and more, my desire to cash out becomes less and less. :-)
  8. Maybe it's just me, but after paying / buying / accepting the escalating prices for Silver and Bronze Age CGC "Key" Marvel books on Ebay (and elsewhere), alternative comics such as this (Flintstones #16 in CGC 9.6) for $700 seems like an INCREDIBLE BARGAIN. 1st Appearance of a Major Flintstone Character (Bamm-Bamm) CGC 9.6 is the Highest Grade for this Item (Probably all 9.4 and 9.6 on Census of this book are File Copies). A CGC Census Population of just 10. That's right...just 10 books. "Key" Silver Age Gold Key Comic from January 1964 which makes it nearly 60 years old. Like Scooby Doo and other "kiddies" comics, these early Flintstone books from the 1960's were read, enjoyed and abused. Heck, I would love to get myself the matching high grade companion to the 1st appearance of Bamm-Bamm. However, I don't think this will ever happen. There are only (5) graded copies of Flintstones #11 (1st appearance of Pebbles) on the CGC census. Furthermore, there is only (1) high grade example in CGC 9.4. The next highest grade of Flintstones #11 drops down many steps to CGC 7.0.
  9. My small cache of graded Thor #337. I know there are many out there with much larger hoards of this issue. Just waiting for Beta Ray Bill to make his entrance into the MCU.
  10. I promise. My last post on Wonder Woman #204... You stated, "Say WW204 now commands $2000USD or $2500 in CGC 9.8..." I understand that you're not a fan of this book (that's cool), but your current assessment (along with GPA and GoCollect) of it's value in CGC 9.8 is way...way...off base by a few hundred percentage points. I've received a half dozen private offers in the past +/-2 years ranging from a low of $3K to a high of $12.5K (Yes!!! I said $12.5K!!!) just a few weeks ago for my WW #204. This price appreciation (speculation) has occurred without confirmation yet by DC of Nubia in the upcoming WW #3 movie. Question...Now, why would someone offer me $12.5K for an item that is supposedly valued considerably less??? Could it be that the "smart money" knows that WW #3 movie related news about Nubia is coming soon? Could it be that there are only (5) copies of WW #204 in CGC 9.8 according to the census and that the "smart money" wants to move in before the herd? Could it be that the "smart money" is also swinging for the fence and understands the market fundamentals of supply vs demand?. IMHO, I think it's because the "true value" of Wonder Woman #204 in CGC 9.8 is just starting it's vertical trajectory and the price this book will eventually command in a few years from now will shock most comic investors.
