  1. Captain America 77 shoestore giveaway 1954 has graced the pages of Overstreet forever but have never ever seen one as a picture or one mentioned for sale. Is this comic real or a spoof? It is in the promotional section. I would love to see a picture of it and see how it is different than the regular issue 77.
  2. I don't like brittle pages like anybody else but if it has a great cover and you never take it out of the slab so no one can see the brittle pages, well............ What do you think?
  3. This the last F'ing straw from Ebay!!!!! I just cannot beleive they won't allow us to search specifically for golden age anymore. We have to go through hundreds of modern age just to find golden age. WTF????? What is wrong with Ebay? Every time they change, it is for the worse. Who is advising them????? I am more mad than Plankton when he almost gets Mr Krabs recipe but fails again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I agree but the cover is part of the contents.
  5. First off Lazyboy thank you for being an admirer of my rare collection and second I value rare contents. There are many many rare comics that I could buy but they are not interesting in any way whatsoever. I only purchase very comics that are cool to me because of the contents and I think they would be cool to someone else. There are lots of promotional comics that nobody has but they have no rewarding quality to them so I stay away from those. So I am and always will be about content. However, I do sometimes buy slabbed book but I will NEVER submit one of my books to be slabbed.
  6. Isn't the contents of a comic book more important than the grade? I am getting tired of seeing comics on Ebay and elsewhere that are graded a 9.8 or higher on sale for at least $1000 and they are of absolutely no importance whatsoever. You are just paying for the grade of a nothing special comic. Is this what CGC intended? Next time I set up for a show, should I just have blank 9.8, 9.9, and 10 slabs on my wall and sell them for $1000 a pop because the comic is not important. I would much rather buy a mid grade first appearence or origin issue than a nothing 9.8 comic. What do you all think?
  7. Thanx guys but I already packed the book up and I am mailing it back to seller tomorrow but appreciate all the help. I have 60 pages and the evidence seems overwhelmingly 68 pages. I just wasn't sure because this title has eratic page counts.
  8. I just got a Supersnipe comics V2 #1 the one with the muscle man on the cover and missing from the Gerber and before I counted the pages, I always thought it was suppose to have 60 pages and I found out that Supersnipe comics page count is all over the place with different issues. When I looked this issue up on comics.org, it said it is suppose to have 68 pages but my issue doesn't appear to be missing any pages. Please tell me who is right.
  9. That is awesome Robot Man!!! That is my first time seeing one! Thanx for posting I specialize in rare comics so seeing these books is a real treat!!
  10. Thanx guys!! I can't believe it!! That is the first unslabbed copy of superman workbook I have ever seen. I don't know why everyone slabs them. Thanx Dr. Love, I thought it was a giant from the cover price. I have never seen one for sale ever!! Buttock, I can guess easily guess what the Puzzle fun has inside but what is inside Black out? Isn't Black out the most difficult of the comics corporation booklets to find?
  11. These are mostly comics I have never even seen a picture before. If you have them, please post a pic. Thanx. Puzzle Fun (centaur) Salerno Carnival of comics Superman workbook (For some reason I only see slabbed copies. Does anyone have a raw copy?) All Comics (Chicago nite) Black.Out (centaur) Someone showed a copy on here once but I have never seen one for sale. Diary secrets No number 25c giant Mickey Malone Treasure comics 324 pages (I have only seen this in the Gerber and no where else)
  12. This is the full magazine with the rejected cover to the first issue. As you know the first issue has a star wars cover. This is probably a one of a kind.
  13. This is probably my last huge one this year. This is silver age but rarer than a hen's root canal!!
  14. Well I guess I am like a woman, I don't want a cubic zirconia engagement ring, I want the diamond ring.
  15. It appears that Ebay has been inundated with these incomplete comics and I am sick of it!!! And why do they put a fake cover on a comic and call it coverless? If you put a rebuilt engine in a car, you don't call it engineless. The whole thing is ridiculous. It seems like that half of the golden age on Ebay have fake covers. Bring back the complete comics please!!!!!
  16. This is a 1968 4 page giveaway of a very early black superhero getting people to vote during the Vietnam War. It is exceedingly rare. This is the only one I have ever seen and all I do is collect rare comics.
  17. All these years, I thought Superman came first and something caused me to check it and The Phantom came out 4 months before but the Phantom gets no respect. I have always thought of The Phantom like soccer. The Phantom is the most popular superhero world wide like soccer is to sports but we don't really care that much about either one in the USA.. I own a nice Ace 11 and would never ever sell it at guide when I sell it, it deserves waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over guide. I will try and dig it out of my safe and post a pic. So my question is why no respect for The Phantom?
  18. This is the 2nd one and this one is so hard to find, back in the 90's Michelle Nolan, the rare comic sleuth for CBM magazine requested someone to show a picture of this and someone did but mine is the only one I have seen in person and mine is missing a half a page on one page. BOth of these books are in the Overstreet.
