  1. I knew it was going big. I did not realize it was going BIG.
  2. The one currently up is one of THE Death images for me.
  3. I was guessing 10-12 and thought I might be a player. NOPE.
  4. Chris Bachalo Shade the Changing Man. Nothing says Halloween like hanging some witches.
  5. Mike Mignola Dracula is perfect for the spooky season
  6. Won't lie, these prices really surprised me. But it is really nice to see an artist charge what they think their work is worth — and get it. Congrats to Tradd and Felix for knowing their audience. I can't imagine they will be wishing they had charged more when these start to change hands.
  7. I voted for that strip. Those are some great inks.
  8. Surprised to see one of my entries cracked the top five in it's category.
  9. I don’t have much illustration art, but when I saw this at auction I had to have it. It’s a Sunday Minneapolis Tribune cover from 1946 by Oz Black. I’m always on the hunt for newspaper-related pieces, and not only does this fit the bill but it’s from the paper I currently work for. Scans of the color guide and printed product are on my CAF. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1892275
  10. I’ve done it for myself. My most ambitious was recreating this Daily Bugle front page (and covering up the Stan Lee sig in the middle of the artwork.) https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1840434
  11. Gaiman was the first writer who came to mind. I think I have seen more pages with his signature than without. ;)
  12. At eighty cents a day - that's a LOT of lunch. Maybe I can talk Mom into sending me with fifteen cents for an extra milk.
  13. That's the one I wanted. Early art. Garfield and Odie. Newspaper gag. But it went way higher than I was willing to go. I ended up with a nice Sunday (that is likely by a studio artist rather than Davis), but now I have my one Garfield example and am content.
