Here is Wonder Woman 204 p 21 by Don Heck / Vince Colletta. This issue featured the first appearance of Nubia (known as the black Wonder Woman). For a larger pic, go to my CAF https://cafurl.com?i=28196
This doesn't look much like Colletta's work to me. GCD suggests Giordano might have inked it.

It's too bad they had Sal Buscema redo the face, but still a great cover.
I think it was more a case of someone pasting a Buscema head over what Bolland had drawn than Sal Buscema redoing the face. Here's the unmodified version, which I wouldn't say was one of Bolland's finest.

Marvel Two-In One #51 was the zenith of Miller's Thing. Like John Carter #18, it had the benefit of Bob McLeod's inking.

How did the captain chest image get past the editors to be published?
I thought that image was unpublished. A similar but slightly less egregious pose was used for the cover of Captain America #6.

Looks almost like Syd was tracing Kirby. Kirby had bad leg problems back then.
GCD previously credited the cover to Syd Shores, but following a discussion on the Timely-Atlas Facebook group they're now suggesting Mort Lawrence for the penciller, with inker unknown.

I'm not sure why Roger Stern would have the page. I think in the early days of art being returned, two pages of each issue tended to be given given to the writer, but according to John Byrne, Stern disapproved of this and voluntarily gave his pages to the penciller and inker.

Marvel Age Spider-Man #1-20, cover dated May 2004 to March 2005 rehashed the plots from Amazing Spider-Man #2-21 by Lee and Ditko.

Is it known how far in advance of its April 1977 cover date Heavy Metal #1 would have been released?

GCD says of the Whitman variant of DC Comics Presents #22: "This is an exceedingly rare variant, only rumored to even exist at all until 2012 when some copies started surfacing. There are less than ten known extant copies."

For a promo and overall, I'm going with Supergear (I've only seen one, and I should have hit the BIN on eBay but I was a fool):
GCD says that according to Diamond's Scoop website 500 copies were produced but over half were destroyed. Lois Lane is said to have a comment in the story: "What terrific outfits! That gear looks super! Clark, why don't you buy some new ski clothes like those kids have?"
How much was the BIN?

Hi all,
In Russ Cochran last auction, I stumbled on this page labelled :
"Infantino - Unknown Title #?, Pg 2, DC, Original Comic Book Art (1994)"
https://russcochranauction.auctionanything.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&auction_uid1=6303715
At reverse, there is a label : "Carmine Infantino - Possible 'Flash' art"
What surprise me is the year of the DC stamp at the back : 1994, and the fact it should come from a #2.
I thought the lastest major contribution of Infantino for DC was the "Danger Trail" MS done in 1993, his last DC work DC Comics Presents: Batman #1 in 2004, and nothing, in sequential mode, in the decade between (except some pin-ups).
Does somebody know something about this art ?
It seems to be from Infantino indeed, but somewhat downplayed by the inker (?)
It says page 2 not issue #2. Here's another page from it. Apparently it's King Faraday, and the inker was Marshall Rogers.

I enjoyed reading the DD run when it came out, and Miller’s layouts were inspired, but I wondered then and still cannot help wondering how much better it would have looked under a less heavy-handed inker than Klaus Janson. It didn’t have to be Al Williamson or Joe Sinnott, just a solid Marvel house style guy e.g. Joe Rubinstein, Bob Wiacek, Dan Green etc. … Would love to see alternate takes on some of that if copies of pencils still exist.
Rubinstein inked most of Daredevil #163 after a couple of Janson pages, and it looked pretty good. What If #35 included a couple of pages that reprised layouts from DD #181, now inked by Terry Austin, but I didn't think they were an improvement. I don't think Bob Wiacek's inking got good until after Miller's DD run had ended, and I didn't rate their collaboration on Marvel Team-Up #100.

Billy Graham's family sold some of his Sabre pages recently. I got this interesting one depicting Sabre's original meeting with his girlfriend Melissa.
I see the inking on Sabre #4 was credited to Georges F and P. Most of the art, including your page, seems to be inked in the style of George Freeman, but does anyone know if George P would have been George Pratt?

Shadow Annual #2 was definitely Baxter, but I think Dragonlance #1 was in the cheaper "New Format".

My favourite Human Fly issue was #14, with Frank Robbins inked by Steve Leialoha instead of the usual Esposito or Springer.

The Monster-type guy in the background has appeared a lot, but I think this was the only appearance of the girl...
Someone who looked like her appeared in Superman: the Wedding Annual #1, Marvel Fumetti Book #1 and X-Men Annual #10.

I think Jim Owsley was said to have commented that the above comic was written, penciled, inked and lettered by Alan Kupperberg and untouched by human hands. Does anyone know which comic featured Obnoxio's first appearance?

were you unable to find an image for Steel #1, or is it Swamp Monster you're suggesting? I loved the pages from the unpublished Steel #6 that were incorporated into All-Star Squadron #8 & 9, re-inked by Jerry Ordway. Perhaps the best looking Don Heck artwork this side of X-Men #64.
